They planned a Vegas bachelor party that they would never forget. Now they really need to remember what exactly went down! A baby? A tiger? Why is one of them missing a tooth? And most of all, where is the groom?! What the guys did while partying can’t compare to what they must do sober in an outrageous caper that has them piecing together all their bad decisions from the night before– one hazy clue at a time. Director Todd Phillips (Old School) and an all-aces comedy cast tie one on… big time! more info

Too Old for This
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I picked this up on disc because I had encountered various mentions online of people finding it hilarious, and I dote on comedy. This one is slickly produced though sickly written from an unswervingly adolescent point of view. Comedy works best when one or more of the characters is sympathetic: we laugh at the terrible difficulties this character gets into while hoping for him to triumph over them in the end.
I was able to generate no such hope for these four guys. My sympathies were more engaged by the Las Vegas people, seen and unseen, whose job it was to clean up after these slobs. Personally, I thought the stripper that the dentist married a far more suitable mate than the fiancee with whom he had already built a wretchedly dysfunctional relationship. So, while the quartet does indeed get into terrible difficulties, my greatest hope was for them to wend their way toward a Darwin Award.
Saturday Night TV

Movie was indeed very funny and great late night entertainment, not the type movie I would want my young teenager watching’ but great to show at a party or with adult friends getting together. If you liked “Wedding Crashers”, type comedy you will like this, but recognize that this comedy is a little more hard core late night in it’s presentation. The movie centers around the theme of of waking up the next morning with a hangover so bad that you can not remember what you did last night then working back through clues to what really happened in the most bizzare night of your life.
Was Okay

An okay movie. I think this director’s best movie will always be Old School with Will Farrell, Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughn. A few funny moments here and there. I’ve only seen the rated version so I can’t say the same for the unrated.
Pile it on

I’m just tacking on another five star review to help counterbalance all the 1-stars crying afoul of the simulated masturbation scene with the infant. Going on and on about how low an IQ one must have to enjoy the movie because of that innocuous scene and then using the misspelling “masterbation” is full-on fail.
Entertaining As Hell, Though Definitely NOT A Kid Film! (4.5/5 Stars)

Synopsis: The sensible Doug (Justin Bartha) is taken to Las Vegas for his bachelor party by his friends: the rude-and-crude Phil (Bradley Cooper), the overly p-whipped Stu (Ed Helms), and his soon-to-be brother-in-law and completed space cadet Alan (Zach Galifianakis). After they go to Vegas and have a toast to a night that they’ll never forget, Phil, Stu, and Alan wake up the next morning without Doug and completely unaware of what it is they did the night before. The three men put together their exploits which saw them cross paths with an escort/stripper with a heart of gold (Heather Graham), a crazy yet effeminate mobster (Ken Jeong), and even Mike Tyson (himself) in a night full of improbabilities. Will the men be able to find their missing friend Doug? Will Doug make it back in town for his wedding? And will the guys eventually figure out everything that happened the night before?
I thought this film was one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a while. Judging by the amount of negative reviews, I will be inclined to acknowledge that this movie is definitely not suitable for minors (largely due to the image of a street hooker performing unsimulated fellatio on a prosthetic penis worn by Galifianakis) or for people who are very sensitive to the gross-out humor found in the film (though I don’t think a film would be allowed to be released if the “baby masturbation” joke would have constituted sexual abuse.) Make no mistake though, anyone who’s afforded the opportunity to go to Vegas or even much less have had one of “those” nights that they couldn’t remember will find an abundance of entertainment through out the film.
In the end, it was the cast and the director that did it for me. I wouldn’t consider any of the lead actors to be big-money players (though this movie unquestionably raised Galifianakis’s stock). Yet since they had different elements of comedy that they brought to the screen, the chemistry was undeniably strong and made the film that much more believable. Director Todd Phillips has honed his craft for comedy with other films such as Old School and Starsky & Hutch but was able to execute a movie that received critical acclaim without having to have a whole lot of star power up front. I think this was, by far, his best effort and I have to applaud him for that.
I recommend this film for anyone old enough to watch it but not for those who are a bit more prudent with their sense of humor.
Entertaining but for ADULTS only . . ..

I’m not sure how a couple of scenes in this flick made it past the sensors . . . even I thought a couple of the sex scenes were off colour and of bad taste (without a X rating).
However, even the stuff in bad taste followed plot, IMO, and the script was funny with passable performances by the cast. The script was also original although I thought that it may be a bad remake of “Bad Things,” which it turned out not to be.
Overall, I would recommend this to most anyone . . . except, and this is a big exception, for those who would object to extremely off colour and potentially offensive sexual content. The language is actually not that bad . . . although there is a fair amount of four letter words . . . but nothing close to some of the gratuitous cursing in some films.
Have fun.
Funny and almost suspenseful…

So through the whole movie you’re wondering what happened the night before, especially as the day progresses and more people talk to these gentlemen. HA! Although, I did figure out where the missing one was in the beginning, it is still a hilarious movie to see. I don’t know if I want to say that the extra pictures from the missing camera is worth the extra money spent, there are some photos during credits. BUT…I will say the movie is something I will watch several times. As for comedy movies, yeah, it’s one worth buying if you like to giggle and chuckle…
Watered down.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Not a bad movie, but not nearly as funny as the premise. The opening scene sets us up for a very funny, and somewhat ominous, excursion, but the funny is too tame and the ominous is nearly nonexistant. I didn’t want this to go as far into dark territory as “Very Bad Things” by any means (“Very Bad Things” was a superior movie in every way, but one is plenty), but it could have used a lot more edge.
I will give them credit for not making the second half into a chick flick, like “Wedding Crashers”, “I Love You, Man”, and most other guy films made these days. If I wanted to watch a chick flick, I’d watch some pieces of crap with Amy Adams or Jennifer Anniston in it. Never resorting to the maudlin bull**** so commonly used to appeal to the female demographic is commendable, but “The Hangover” is still too watered down.
Hilarious!

Great comedy! It is even funnier the second time around, knowing what is coming next, and you’re already laughing in anticipation! I bought this for my husband after we saw it in theaters and it has become a quick favorite! It’s adult humor and can be crude, so you can’t be easily offended; they don’t shy away from any topics in this one. This comedy was unpredictable and fun, and it’s worth the extra few dollars to get the unrated version with the bonus features on the second disc. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
forcing baby to mimic masterbating
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
At what point do we say enough. I had the misfortune of seeing the movie on my honeymoon last summer. Some of it is funny, but when I saw the one adult male forcing a baby’s hand to move around the baby’s private area as if the baby was masterbating, I just wanted to leave the theater.
Who in the world was protecting this child from being exploited in the name of a movie maker making some bucks?
There are so many good movies out there of all ratings, this just isn’t one of them.
Laugh Outloud Funny
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Very nicely suprised by this movie, which I expected to be a male, lewd ,dumb, unoriginal movie…so totally wrong was I! We even watched it 2 nights in a row–something we never do. Laughed as much and outloud the second time as the first. Man, it is just FUNNY! Watch it! Enjoy!
The Hangover should become a classic
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My family and I first saw it in the theatre. We laughed from beginning to end as did everyone in the theatre. I personally bought 5 copies of the DVD for everyone I could for Christmas so if they did not get their own I made sure they could see it. It was well done considering the sceniero it was not a just the same as all the other movies. It had a plot, action, continuous comedy and a happy ending. I love it and over Christmas I must have seen it six times with different groups of people and laughed every time. It just didn’t get old.The Hangover (R-Rated Single-Disc Edition)
The funniest movie ive seen this year
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
When i went to the theater with some friends to see this movie not really knowing anything about it, i didnt think it was gonna be good. I was grossly mistaken, this movie is hilarious from start tofinish. i love zach gilifinakis in this i think he made this movie. Its about 4 guys going to vegas for a bachelor party for one night but after a drugged shot of liquor. They wake up the next day not remembering anything, but noticing all these weird things around them i.e. tiger in the bathroom, baby in the closet, chicken walking freely around. So the whole movie they are trying to find clues as to what happened the night b4, and they meet a bunch of crazy people along the way that help them remember. This movie is comedy gold. I havent met a person yet who said they didnt think this was hilarious. A must see for anyone who likes funny movies.
A well-woven pastiche of previous comedies
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Certainly, there are some very funny characters and scenes in this film, but it feels like a patchwork of road trip movies you’ve seen before. The movie succeeds in creating a silly comedy mystery of the absurd, and I admit I laughed often. Too often, however, I could see the punch line from a mile away. The movie is a series of neatly crafted punch lines without a compelling overriding comedy. That is, every joke is the same or a more extreme variation on the same. And so, the movie was more of an over-hyped letdown than a more genre-critical tour de force like Tropic Thunder. I compare the two movies because they rely on the audience’s previous knowledge of comedy film history, but Tropic Thunder succeeds in delivering actual Hollywood criticism where The Hangover manages the singular enticement of mere gross-out humor. While I don’t find the film to be a classic in any sense, I would still recommend it to anyone in need of a good laugh.
Laughed the night away!
