I was expecting just a stand without an option to charge the battery, since the price was so low I couldn’t believe it. Instead, I received the stand which by itself is very atractive, and with a very wireless way to charge the bold, excellent product, and the store as well worked perfectly

I have already purchased 3 of these. I keep one on each night stand (for me and the wife) and one on my desk. I have never had a problem with it tipping over and have eliminated the need for a bedside alarm clock. The light on the back makes it easy to see even at night, so I never miss when I put the phone in the cradle.
It is way easier to charge using this than to try fiddling with the mini usb port on the side, especially in the dark. There is really no down side to this.

To be honest, my expectations were not high for this product at all, but I really just wanted something to hold my Blackberry up on my nightstand to make it more like an alarm clock. However! I have been very pleasantly surprised and actually impressed by it’s quality. It is much heavier than I imagined and it’s actually much nicer than it looks in the picture. If you are concerned about the quality don’t worry. It’s a great little accessory. I’ve heard some people say “yeah but you have to buy another charging cord”. Uh… all you have to do is plug your normal Blackberry cord into the back… so I’m not really sure what that’s all about.

I consider this one of those “no-brainer” products. At the time of this review, the price is below $12 (in part because the Bold has been out for a year now and there is likely a newer phone in the pipeline). For us late adopters (or those who need a second or replacement charging pod), the price is so right.
To make this thing work, you need a Blackberry power cord (like the one that came with your phone). You can find a spare cheap here on Amazon. This is the pod only, no cord.
My pod came in hassle free packaging, which was a nice surprise. No crazy plastic package to wrestle with.
The pod itself is handsome – a blueish flat chrome finish with black plastic inside. You simply drop a naked phone (no case, as the charger uses little metal prongs on the bottom outside of the phone and a case would cover these up) into the pod and it does its thing. No cord to mess with.
This pod is perfect for a desk or nightstand. It provides a far superior charging experience for two reasons: 1) no cord to plug in and 2) you can see the phone because it is standing up.
I see nothing wrong with this – it’s designed well, functions well, is described well on the site, and the price is great. Five stars.
Functional yet disappointing

After many drops to the floor with the usb cable pulling the Blackberry Bold out of my hand to the floor, I was really excited to receive my charging pod in the mail. I am a big fan of the bedside mode on my phone and using it as an alarm clock as well, so the charging pod holding the phone vertical seemed like a wonderful product. When I tried it out for the first time, I was really disappointed on how loose it was. I can see it being necessary givin the charging pod is light weight and wanting it to stay on the desk and not rise with your phone, but I am disappointed in that the user needs to take extra precaution to set the phone in just right to make sure the battery connectors connect as necessary. It doesn’t result in damage, but unless your settings switch it to clock mode you may assume it is charging when it really is not.
A necessary item for the Bold

This charging pod is the perfect accessory for my Bold. I have one on my bedside table and one on my desk at work. It fits well and charges faster than if I plug it into the wall charger. The only caveat is that I can’t sync with the BB desktop software when it’s in the charging pod. Other than that, it’s perfect!

i bought this last week and i really liked it , it looks cool and its easy to use . if you’re sleepy or busy .. you just put ur bold on it and it will stand strong and charge
the only things that makes me dont want to give this product a 5 stars
is because :
1- it doesnt come with the usb cable , you’ll have to use yours
2- it didnt come with a box.
3- you cant use it using your PC or Laptop.

I looked for a pod for my Blackberry Bold after seeing the elegant pod for the iphone and when I found that blackberry has one I went for two of those pods. They are just so good. One I keep at my desk at work and one sits at home. This is a beautiful pod, its elegant, solid make, simple colours, has the nice BB logo at the front, and business-like looking. It does not fall over or anything as one reviewer commented. I actually find it much nicer and better built than any pod I have seen for other BB models or other brands all together including the iphone. For this Amazon reduced price you shouldn’t hesitate about getting one. Great value.
Good But Not Great; Still a Must Have Accessory

When my Curve finally gave out after two-plus years of faithful service, I upgraded to the Bold.
Obviously the first accessory that I bought was the Charging Pod, a must have for BlackBerry owners. Yes, this is a vanity accessory, but I consider it a must have. Like I did with the Curve I bought one for home and one for the office.
I must say I was initially a little disappointed, mainly because the first time I used it the Bold was slightly crooked and failed to charge that night. The next day I realized If you take two seconds to put the phone in correctly, it works perfectly. I was used to just throwing the Curve in the Charging Pod on the fly and having it work every time.
The reason this model is not as good as the Charging Pod for the Curve our the Tour is more so a result of the phone’s features. The battery is charged from the contact points on the sides rather than the contact points in the back. Also the bottom of the phone is supported by the Charging Pod instead of it resting directly on the desk, again, a result of the phone’s design more so than the design of the Charging Pod. This does cause the Bold does topple over a little more easily than the Curve or Tour.
Though this product is good, due to some of the design issues I have to go with four stars. Still a must have for Bold owners. Bedside Mode is easily one of the best new features of the BlackBerry smartphones.
