Not really for a little girl
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The packaging is covered in the pink ribbons for breast cancer. I was planing on giving this pink camera to my young niece as a present, but i don’t really want to have to explain the ribbons and the words all over it. I wish the packaging would have been shown or at least mentioned.

Bought this camera for my 9 year old daughter… she loves it, and it takes pretty decent photos. Not back for a[...] camera.

Very satisfied with this purchase. It was exactly as the seller advertised it to be, which is important.

good camera for a girl

My 9 yr old daughter loves the camera. It takes good pictures. Not as user friendly as would of liked. And the batteries go fast so I am buying her re-chargeable batteries. Good for the price.

I purchased this camera for my daughter’s 7th birthday, with the attitude that all the children’s digital cameras for which I had read reviews were about the same price as this camera, and were pretty much across the board terrible. I hoped this camera would take a bit better photos than a kid’s camera, but not necessarily masterpieces. This camera takes horrible photos. When my daughter takes photos in the “auto” mode, they are almost always blurry and distorted. I tried my hand at using the camera, and found that it was hit and miss whether I could get a good photo out of the camera. For a 7 MP camera, the resolution of even the “good” photos is terrible. All the photos were grainy. Further, I have to change the batteries daily, and my daughter isn’t taking a huge number of photos. Yes, this is an inexpensive camera, but really it’s just a cheap camera. Save up your money for something that actually takes good quality photos and at least has a rechargeable battery.

It was hard to decide which digital camera to purchase for an 8 year old daughter at first. After going to several different sites and comparing, this was the BEST purchase for the price and for a young person to start out with.

My little girl enjoys taking pictures and showing them to us. She can not stop thanking us.

Great lil Cam

I love my little camera. It is really easy to use. Definately worth the $50! With purchasing this nifty lil device I was also able to contribute a donation to Breast Cancer, as well! I would DEFINATELY reccomend this to anyone who wants a good digital camera that won’t break the bank!

It’s the best bang for the buck. Does almost everything it is supposed to. Good quality pictures, long battery life.

OK for a basic camera, but battery life is deplorable.

I wanted to get a decent “beginner” digital camera for my 8-year-old daughter so was really attracted to this 7MP camera and she loved the color. The price was what sold it though. At $50, I wouldn’t be as worried about how it was treated or if it got lost.

My daugther really likes it and the pictures are decent, but the battery life is ridiculously short. It takes 2 AA batteries and will generally die after a hour or so of collective use.

The camera is OK, but if I had to do it over again, would have purchased a different camera.

great value

I bought this camera because I needed a serious upgrade from the one I had before. Me being a college student, I needed the best value I could get. I did a lot of research on what kind of camera I should be looking for, and when I compared this camera with all the others that had the features I wanted, this was by far the best value. This camera has 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, which is very good for an everyday digital camera. It has 7 MP, which allows for great resolution, and no one should really try to go higher than 7 or 8 MP, because that would just send you back downhill by taking up too much memory and making your pictures look “too sharp”. More Megapixels doesn’t equal a better camera. The video and audio quality is fantastic, the LCD display is the perfect size, and I can play around with the settings to accomodate any picture-taking situation, although I always have it set to P (Program) because it self-adjusts and I can still control things like flash, sharpness, etc. It even has a stabilizer so pictures will never appear blurry. Don’t get this camera if you’re going to be shooting fast-moving objects because the shutter speed is not that of a professional camera and the speed of the shutter cannot be adjusted, which makes sense because the camera always needs to focus itself before snapping the photo and every photo is different. The product is mainly meant for still photography; great for taking pictures of people, buildings, etc. I trust the brand and the people that sell this product (New Harbor) stand behind it and want their customers to be happy, so you can always get great customer service when it comes to any minor problems that are always bound to occur when dealing with electronics. The camera is also very sleek and classy looking with a lot of personality due to its popping pink color, so I’m very happy overall.

Eats away at batteries

I bought this camera as a surprise gift for my sister who moved away from home. She did not have a camera and all of us back home wanted to see pictures of her new place. Well, she has had the camera for over a month now and we have yet to see any pictures. She says that every time she goes to take pictures, the batteries run out. I knew this camera did not come with rechargeable batteries, but it is a bit ridiculous that the batteries last for such a short time. I wish I would have spent $20 – $30 more and gotten her one that is better for every day use.

The camera is a decent camera. Its a little wierd at first but other wise easy once you play around with it. functional. takes a little while to snap photos compared to my old camera, but still love it. :)

The value on this purchase is obvious…perfect for what it was purchased for (an extra camera that can be left in my wife’s office)…truth be told? The display is better than the display on my $400 camera…the features leave other cameras “in the dust” and the battery life is remarkable…A GREAT DEAL…to be sure.
