Sony Bravia L-Series HDTVs provide vivid 720p resolution and dynamic contrast ratios of 13,000:1 (the 26-inch model) and 13,000:1 (for 32-inch model), with several versatile sizes perfect for the budget-conscious consumer or anyone wanting an HDTV that works well in the bedroom, kitchen, or office. Bravia L-Series HDTVs have a wealth of HD connections, including three HDMI inputs. Each HDMI input transmits uncompressed digital video and multi-channel digital audio on a single cable, so you can expand your home theater system without a lot of messy wires. Also included is a PC input that lets you use your HDTV as a computer monitor. If you need to streamline your HD components further, the Bravia L-Series HDTVs feature Bravia Sync technology and are compatible with optional Bravia Link Modules such as the Bravia Wireless Link, which wirelessly streams HD video and audio from your A/V equipment to your HDTV from up to 65 feet away. You might expect that more features mean more power consumption, but Bravia L-Series HDTVs include a Dynamic Backlight Control which automatically controls overall image brightness to help the TV exceed ENERGY STAR 3.0 standards. more info

Nice TV but malfunctioned in 2 months
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Nice TV for the bedroom. Great picture, sound ok as well. Unfortunately the IR sensor on the TV broke in less than 2 months. Since it was under warranty, Sony’s options were to bring it in to an authorized dealer for free repair or swap it out for a factory refurbished model. Because of the travel distance involved with the repair, we chose the factory refurbished option. Sony said that we’d receive it in “3-4 business days after our return was approved”. In reality, it took almost 2 weeks to get it. It was shipped UPS ground. The refurbished model appeared to be brand new. The warranty period will be the same as the original. Sony paid the return shipping so that was fairly painless. Only annoyances were the time to get the replacement and some unclear directions from Sony’s customer support.

Nice small TV
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The Good:

- Great Picture

- Easy Setup

- Number of HDMI connections (Connected to cable, PS3, Computer)

The not so good:

- Sound is thin (but what can you expect from a small TV)

- Limited adjustment for computer resolution (only one computer resolution displayed correctly)

Great TV at a Great Price
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
We looked at a lot of tv’s in this size prior to this purchase and this was the best bang for the buck. Looks sheek and the name speaks for itself. Have had a little problem with sound, not sure if it is the tv or the satellite dish connection.

Great small sized LCD
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband. It’s a great smaller sized LCD for the bedroom or office. We really love it, the only thing is that the picture doesn’t look great out of the box and because its a newer model, there wasn’t much info on the tweaking websites to help calibrate it. We ended up using the same settings from our larger Sony XBR4 and it looks great. Just don’t be surprised by the factory settings…..the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Sony Bravia 26 inch HDTV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is my first HDTV and I will buy another. With a the HDTV’s out their I am glad I decided on this HD. Others cannot offer what this one has for such a great price. It was so easy to set up and start right away. It arrived the exact day that was scheduled. Now I need Direct TV in HD and will be all set!

Great TV, just make sure it’s not too small for your needs
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We bought this TV for my son, who was moving out of his dorm into a small apartment. We already had our own Sony Bravia 42 inch TV at home, and we love it.

No doubt there are cheaper LCD HD TVs out there, but you know when you get a Sony that you are going to get good quality. This Bravia series is no exception. The picture quality is astounding, especially when watching sporting events – you can see every face in the crowd.

I don’t have much new to add to a review for this TV other than a simple warning that seems obvious – take a look at this TV at the store before you make your purchase online. When I bought this one I figured a 26 inch would be just perfect for my son, remembering my old “giant” 25 inch screens from the past. However, when this one arrived, it seemed so small. With the HD LCD screen, you really can go a bit bigger than you think. This 26 inch is great but I wish I had gotten just a big bigger, especially for a TV that’s going to be used in a livingroom area.

Sony Quality
Rating:5 out of 5 stars

I bought this television for our kitchen. It’s size is perfect for the location. The picture sharpness and the sound are excellent for a smaller t.v. It is extremely light and was very easy to set up. This is an excellent choice as a second t.v. for the bedroom or kitchen. DVD’s look even sharper on it than onmy old Trinitron. The remote is easy to use and the various functions easy to perform.

Spectacular Sony Bravia

LCD TV was a cinch to hookup. Great resolution with good sound quality. Decided to go with the 26″ inch over 22″ display for our kitchen/breakfast nook, and glad we did. Stunning picture quality.

Great product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this HDTV to use in my bedroom. It’s the perfect size. The picture is incredible. The sound is quite good but not excellent, probably what one should expect from a smaller, LCD TV. We’ve had it for a couple of months now and are very pleased with our purchase.

TV for Jimbos Farm
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Had an old Sony 19 inch tube TV up at Jimbo’s Farm for 12 years

and still works fine. Saw this unit in action at a Brick & Morter

store & knew it would be perfect for the place.

Set up was dead easy , Picture is perfect & sound not bad for

a unit this size.

Excellent value.

Buy a swivel stand with this one!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Looks great, easy to use. The choices for tweaking all the settings are awesome.

Viewed head-on the picture is stunning, and we don’t even have HD input on this set yet, just standard Dish Network. BUT… move a few feet off-axis and the color drains right out of the image, and clarity is reduced. Fortunately we have it on a swivel or we would have returned it right away.

Sound is just adequate. This set serves our open kitchen/dining room, so it’s mostly used for news and commentary during dinner. We added two speakers to the center channel to be able to hear the talking heads more clearly, and that has helped immensely.

Dead and Gone after a mere 18 months
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
My Bravia ceased functioning after 18 months of use. I took it to a repair shop and found some of the components went bad, but the repair cost would be greater than a new TV. The problem was not caused by a power surge or any other likely culprit according to my electronics repairman. Just good old fashioned shoddy build quality. I had expected more from a Sony.

Aside from that, the annoying auto-dark mentioned by another poster was really annoying and will not be missed.

Stay away from Sony as it is not worth the price.

The HDMI works but for some reason my sony dvd recorder is not recognized.

Would be nice if it had an EPG (program guide).

Overall very good TV
