Although the DB2 was originally designed for outdoor use, it has quickly become one of the most popular indoor antennas due to its small size and extraordinary gain. The bowtie design provides strong gain across the entire UHF spectrum and it functions incredibly well in areas where a low profile antenna is required. more info

Outside Antenna
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This is an ok antenna that looks like something you could make at home out of your old antennas and a shopping cart. As long as you find the correct positioning, which can be found online for just about any area, you will have a strong signal. The product info stated this was an Indoor/Outdoor antenna, but be warned: This anteanna is for OUTSIDE use only! You may also need to get the hardware that is sold separately, unless you have a pole laying around (like the one you use for Festivus!)
Gets 66 TV channels
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I switched to digital HD TV about 6 months before the final nationwide move to all digital HD TV. My wife didn’t want an outdoor antenna so I placed the Antennas Direct DB2 in our attic and pointed it in the general direction of the broadcast TV antennas located on a 6000′ mountain about 22 miles from our home. To reach the DB2 the signal has to go through two roofs because we had the new roof installed on top of the old one (much cheaper that way). The signal also has to go through several trees before it gets to us. We get 66 TV stations and only 2 are not reliable. Sometimes they come in loud and clear and sometimes they don’t. The other 64 stations come in with 100% reliability and no digital artifacts.
The DB2 worked much better than I thought it would. The antenna isn’t what I would call a thing of beauty that I’d want in my living room window unless I had no other choice, but it does work well and it saves us having to pay for cable TV every month.
Big problem/Small solution

A converter box alone was inadequate for good digital reception in my multi-unit condo building. This small DB2 UHF antenna, mounted on the support beam for my porch and facing in the right direction, solved the problem at a reasonable price.
Works as advertised

The antenna assembles easily and attaches to a mast easily. It works great without a preamp.
Works great, Orlando, FL area ~9 miles from stations

The antenna works great, I am able to get all of the stations listed on [...]for my area. I live about 9 miles from the stations and have no problems with reception.
Looks like a barbeque grill but is the best antenna out there.

I was tired of getting terrible reception when the digital transition happened. I was asking around at school, trying to find an antenna that would bring in better reception. I had gone through antennas that have 10 foot wing spans, to antennas that have boosters built in, to 10 foot wing spans with boosters together. None of them would get decent signal quality even when living within 10 miles of Detroit. I was informed about the DB2 antenna from a friend who put one in his attic and gets crystal clear reception. I was skeptical because it was much cheaper than my previous buys, but when I hooked it up, I was stunned. Not only did I pick up channels when crystal clear picture, but picked up 10 more channels with the same quality. The first antenna was given to my girlfriend and I bought another one for me. I use mine in Flint MI and pick up stations in Detroit which is an hour away. Granted I am using a booster along with my Flint antenna, but the Detroit one does not use a booster. If you buy anything but the DB2 or DB4, you are insane!
Works good in South Austin

I can’t tell you how far I am from the closest transmitter, but I am very pleased with how well it looks. I receive all the major networks clearly, and a few others that I will probably never watch. I have it sitting on top of the entertainment center agaisnt an outer wall. Pleasantly surprised.
Better, but still not pulling all of the local channels

I now get more stations. However,a station I used to get now has very poor quality. I wish I would have seen the double antenna version of this product.
Good Antenna

Excellent equipment. Used a 6 ft. length of 1″ PVC and anchored it to my brick chimney, with the antenna mounted about 24″ above the chimney top, and the reception improved dramatically. I couldn’t get CBS at all with my indoor antenna, now I get Hi Def on my 40″ LCD. I now get channels I didn’t know were out there! Ran 75 ft. of R6 coax into my LCD, everything is great! Good product.
Not for Red Zone DTV
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I got this for Northern Virginia, about 20 miles from the DC broadcast towers. [...] says I need a medium directional antenna (red zone), which this is not. Although to me it seems highly directional, in that if I rotate it even a bit it has a dramatic impact on my reception. I have this in my attic, and can’t get much of anything from DC well. I’m not saying it’s a bad antenna, especially for the price, but if you go to [...] and it says to get a medium directional antenna for stations in the red zone, don’t try to skimp and get a cheaper one not made for that challenge. You’ll just end up like me having to go out and buy something bigger and more expensive anyway.
No Major Stations, but better than before.

When everyone went to free digital TV last June, I lost all my major network stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, etc.). In desparation, I went and bought a few of those indoor amplified “digital” antennas…still not much improvement. The converters would only get ION network, the Spanish station, religious station and a localized shopping network. So I purchased the Antennas Direct DB2 multi-directional HDTV antenna. Now I have (3) more minor stations…another shopping station, another religious station and the Korean station. Still no CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS or FOX.
I bought a J type mount that was recommended and stuck it out the window to see if I can improve the reception in some measurable way. No soap. I live in Sammamish, WA up on the Sammamish Plateau. I’m only 14-15 miles from the major network transmitters, yet I can’t pick anything! The house is surrounded by tall fir trees except in the direction of where those transmitter are suppose to be so either I’m in a small “valley” without reception or the trees are blocking everything.
This antenna is recommended mainly because it picks up more stations than any of the indoor, amplified types and is still not too bulky for indoor use. It will probably work better if its in a receiveing point not surrounded by tall cedar and fir trees.
I gave up, called Comcast and got them to install basic cable for $8.95 (promo rate) per month. Tried calling the Dish network first, the installation guy came and said the trees were blocking the satellite signal so no go there.

Worth every cent!

I put this in my attic. It literally took no time to set up since I had already done the research to find out the location of the signals. This is well worth the money. I purchased an amplified antenna that I tried in my living room and received 50-60% signal strength. For the same price, I purchased this antenna and received nearly 100% signal strenth and no amplifier needed. I took the recommendation from a friend to purchase this model and I am glad I did! Now I get HD locals for FREE!
Good buy

Good signal reception for Columbus, OH, I get all basic public channel including HD abc and others
Does the job
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’m some 20 miles from the transmitting sources, with a relatively clear path.
When the transition to digital arrived, my attic antenna worked for some channels, but was very spotty on others, picture popped in and out. I tried a highly rated “set top” antenna but my TV is located in an inner room blocked by several walls from the direction of the signal transmission, so the results were not much better.
This antenna is mounted on a air flow pipe in the attic, and all but one channel comes in very well. The one channel which occasionally pops in and out is a foreign language channel I don’t watch, but is there because the automatic scan picked it up. I have no idea why this particular channel has a problem the direction and distance of the signal seems to be acceptable.
The four star is because of the one channel “problem”, otherwise I highly recommend this item.
Beat HDTV Antenna Ever Bought

Best antenna I ever bought. Small size, easy to install and picked all HD channels in 30+ miles radius with 90+ strength. Woudl recommend to anyone.
