Fans of World of Warcraft, prepare for Blizzard Entertainment’s next installment — World of Warcraft: Wrath of King Lich. In this latest expansion, something is afoot in the cold, harsh northlands. The Lich King Arthas has set in motion events that could lead to the extinction of all life on Azeroth. The necromantic power of the plague and legions of undead armies threaten to sweep across the land. Only the mightiest heroes can oppose the Lich King and end his reign of terror.

The tuskarr, a walrus-like race of nomadic fisherman, inhabit the icy Borean Tundra. View larger.

Enter the Death Knight
This expansion adds a host of content to the already massive existing game world. Players will achieve soaring levels of power, explore Northrend (the vast icy continent of the Lich King), and battle high-level heroes to determine the ultimate fate of Azeroth. As you face the dangers of the frigid, harsh north, prepare to master the dark necromantic powers of the Death Night — World of Warcraft’s first Hero class. No longer servants of the Lich King, the Death Knights begin their new calling as experienced, formidable adversaries. Each is heavily armed, armored, and in possession of a deadly arsenal of forbidden magic.

If you have a World of Warcraft account with a character of at least level 55, you will be able to create a new level-55 Death Knight of any race (if on a PvP realm, the Death Knight must be the same faction as your existing character). And upon entering the new world, your Death Knight will begin to quest to level 80, gaining potent new abilities and talents along the way. This expansion allows for only one Death Knight per realm, per account.

New Environments in Northrend Await
Journey through the remote, diverse lands of Northrend and explore Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Borean Tundra, and Howling Fjord. Named for bones of perished dragons and majestic shrines to the fallen creatures, Dragonblight is an arctic wasteland surrounded by dense forests.

Not everything is frozen in Northrend. The lush mountains of Grizzly Hills are the ancestral home to the furbolgs, who have grown accustomed to relative peace. Although their tranquility is being challenged by trappers, goblins, and ice trolls, Grizzly Hills remains a vast and dangerous wilderness.

The southwestern tip of Northrend is home to the sprawling Borean Tundra. The Horde has established a dominant presence in this icy portion of the continent and has formed a bond with the tuskarr, a walrus-like race of nomadic fisherman. Magical energy is afoot in the region, and it has caused increased tension.

High above the Great Sea at the southeastern tip of Northrend lies the Howling Fjord. Ancient mythology holds that a race of half-giant warriors, the vrykul, once inhabited the land, founding a prosperous civilization. They mysteriously vanished, leaving deserted villages and abandoned temples. In present times, the Alliance and the Horde have come to Howling Fjord to confront the Lich King. Strangely, this has prompted the return of the vrykul, who are attacking the Alliance and Horde settlements. Howling Fjord presents a difficult challenge on two fronts: withstanding the vrykul’s onslaught and battling the evil Lich King.

A Multitude of Monsters
Strange and terrifying creatures inhabit the frozen continent of Northrend, such as Nerubian Viziniers, Plague Eruptors, Shoveltusks and Flesh Giants, to name just a few. Half-spider, half-humanoid, the viziniers utilize sorcery and high intelligence to emerge as the rulers of Nerubians’ underground kingdom. The Plague Eruptors are walking corpses created by the Lich King’s evil experiments to spread horror and chaos across the living world.

Massive curved antlers make it easy to identify the Shoveltusks. These grumpy beasts are very dangerous, territorial, and best left alone. The Flesh Giants are nothing short of nightmarish abominations. Cobbled together from the pieces of giant body parts, the Flesh Giants employ tremendous strength to carry out the Lich King’s wishes.

The World of Warcraft: Wrath of King Lich expansion pack allows you to engage in epic siege warfare. The pack presents the first Hero class and allows you to transform your Death Knight’s look with character customization that even include hairstyles and dances. You’ll enjoy exploring the Northrend and all its environments and dungeons, filled with some of the deadliest creatures — and greatest treasures — on all of Azeroth.

If you play WoW this is an absolute must have.

The new Blood elves are great. Trying to bring a female over to my alliance troops. As I have bots that allow real fun activities with a female strictly adult stuff.

Good, but not great.

This game is fun with great stories and backrounds that you get addictied to first time you play, but with the fact that there were new errors every day and too many people in the realms. Blizzard entertainment should of payed a little more attantion to the realms instead of there income. If they ever make a similar game like this for a staiton, like for Wii, that would be awsome. P.S. They will still be on the internet anyway.

A bad future lies ahead for blizz…
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
i was hesitant to write this review for quite some time but after having my high expectations ruined at the end i decided to just go ahead and write this, hopefully i’m going to get corrected if i’m wrong;or-if i’m lucky enough-maybe get the chance to have my review read by a blizz senior who will actually fix the fatal flaws that wow has been suffering from lately…

1)technical issues/tech support:wow is the only game that freezes on me EVERYTIME i play it,other games-even ones that are even more graphically intensive-like dead space work just fine.but what’s even more amazing, after trying to play wow for a minute-literally-the rest of the other games i got in my pc went bad right away!!the only solution available to me was un-install wow and restore my pc to an earlier date, and voila, everything became as good as before.so what does that say??what’s even worse, wow’s tech support is amazingly irresponsible, these guys will sometimes tell you stuff like “it appears that the item that you had was sold away to a vendor(even though i didn’t).have a good day”i swear i’m not making any of this up!!i was NEVER able to get any help from these guys, ever!! google the words “freeze” and “wow” and you’ll be amazed at how many players complain from this issue, but blizz simply doesn’t seem to care…

2)pvp-system balance:ask ANY wow-er,is wow’s pvp system balanced and fair??and YOU KNOW the answer:it isn’t!!it’s amazing how blizz was able to become one of the world’s top video game developers but isn’t able to balance its player-vs-player system no matter how long-and hard-they try/tried!!i mean,in all honesty, how does blizz expect its pvp system to be balanced if the death knight has an ability that makes him summon +10 ghouls on you??and why the heck can’t anyone arena in 1vs1 matches??how many times did wow’s players BEG for this lovely would-be-feature only to find a deaf ear(blizz)insisting that you can’t arena unless you are ready to pay for someone else’s mistakes.and why??so you can “experience wow’s social aspect” *sigh*

3)social aspect:i understand that wow is a social game and you have to play it in groups to really appreciate its fun.but what happened with the lich king expansion??heroics now aren’t worth crap-unlike their worth in the burning crusade expansion-and to get the best gear you have no choice but to join a guild that has hundreds of players now!!in the end,i PAID to enjoy wow just like everyone else,so just because i like my friends and insist in staying in that little guild i dont have the right to get the best gear as everyone else??blizz is killing off smaller/rpg-oriented guilds that way and you are indirectly forced to leave your small guild and join a bigger one!!in all honesty,is that completely fair to everyone??

4)patch/class specialization inconsistencies:ok,i’m a survivalist hunter.need i say more??hunters now can’t even dps/pvp as well as they used to!!go to [...] to listen to the-logical-complaints of this player addressing these concerns(interestingly, this blizz member acknowledges the absence of hunters in arenas, duh I wonder why).hunters have been nurfed down more than ANY other class(apparently it’s not bad enough that hunters can’t heal or tank, only dps)!!A)deterrence used to be one of the best skills any survivalist hunter has now its completely worthless!! B)volley’s damage has been cut by %50!!it USED to be one of the best AOE moves any hunter could have but now it’s somewhat worthless!! etc…

5)repair expenses are just SO HIGH in wow,ALL my plate armor-wearing friends complain of how they NEVER have any money.as a hunter, mail armor repairs are expensive too!!is that blizz’s concept of “fun”??a friend of mine told me that repair expenses are so high he actually knows some players who adventure without armor!!

i’m sorry, but i’m honestly not having much fun with wow anymore, thank you blizz for screwing up your game, and turning a deaf ear to your players.if you want your game to succeed, you will have to please US,not YOURSELVES!!

Lich King Expansion is Worth It, Better Than Burning Crusade
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I started playing WoW with my husband a little over a year ago. I found that the Classic was lovely and entertaining but I really wasn’t impressed with the Burning Crusade expansion. So, I was a little hesitant about getting the Lich King expansion. However, the game play is totally worth it. I’ve been captivated ever since I started playing Lich and now I am so hooked! There are lots of chain quests and that’s how I like it. There is also more lore and that really helps one to understand the game. The cooking system is different but I like that too. It’s not just about the gold but about doing the work and the quests. The terrain is challenging as well.

Wrath of the Lich King is Required for WOW
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Wrath of the Lich King is the third component to World of Warcraft and requires the primary World of Warcraft, and first expansion Burning Crusade. This expansion allowed players access to a new continent as well as additional leveling (up to level 80.) WOW players will require this expansion to reach maximum levels in character, profession, etc.

This game is very fun, and it’s not just for the young. Adults who play this game will find the economy a creative addition to the game. A simple profession system will allow you to ‘make a living’ in-game and opens up a dynamic otherwise unfamiliar to traditional gaming.

The price for this on Amazon was too good to pass-up. Surf this site and find the best price. The delivery was fast and product came complete with everything needed. There were no issues. Great job Amazon Marketplace!

I highly recommend this game. If you haven’t played a PC Game before (and I hadn’t) give it some time to learn the controls. It was frustrating at first. Also, be sure to take advantage of online resources [...].

Last word of warning, don’t get addicted. Or you’ll wake up one day at level 80 and ask yourself where your last two months went! :D

Best. Expansion Pack. Ever.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
You shouldn’t be reading reviews on a video game on Amazon. Go to [...] or something. But for what its worth: as far as MMORPG’s go, THIS is how expansions for games should be! TONS of new content, not too pricey… Really you can’t play World of Warcraft without it.

Surprisingly reinvigorates the game
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
When i first bought and played Burning Crusade i was immediately bored with it. Even now, returning to the game Burning Crusade is just something to speed by to get to this particular expansion. Regardless though, I though the quests are really fun in this game, especially the daily quest in the fjords where you have to bomb pirate ships. Definitely worth the money in my mind

WoW has become nothing more then a never-ending grind…
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
After playing through WoTLK, hitting 80, raiding and getting geared, I finally just stopped one day and said “Why am I playing this game?” All the game is, is one long grind session…whether you’re grinding for experience, grinding for gold, grinding for pvp points, grinding for gear, grinding for rep, etc. And then once you have all epic items and think all the grinding is behind you, GUESS WHAT? An expansion pack or patch comes out and you have to grind all over again for your end game gear, rep, gold, etc. This game is an enormous time sink and at the end of the day what did you really accomplish?

Fun MMORPG
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
A New Expansion of World of warcraft, new class Death Knight, New map Northrend, New battleground Isle of conquest….

I feel bored after i reach lvl 80. People just keep doing heroics to get badges, build up better gears to raid.

Fun but…
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This is a fun game but leveling takes forever.

I stopped playing at level 76.

Just takes too much time to level!

I have 4 other characters to get from 70 to 80

and I don’t have that kind of time to spend on it

anymore. If you have the time to kill I highly

recommend this game!

A well done game.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Same idea as the original and Burning Crusade, just with more places to go and new things to do. If you buy it like this you will have to redownload all the patches, but if you get it from online, you just download and can start playing right away. You must have both World of Warcraft and Burning Crusade for this expansion to work.

Furthermore, you will not be able to get to level 80 without this. You will be stuck at 70.
