Good Not spectacular
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Pros:
1 Outstanding Graphics
2 It’s truly the Comic book Version of Batman dark and dingy
3. Combat sequences although short are very fun and get progressively more challenging throughout the game
4. The Stealth kills are great, especially when you have to swing from Gargoyle to Gargoyle and knock out armed guards without alerting the other guards
5. Grappling and Gliding in steathily in general is awesome
Cons:
1. Too many silly chattering teeth all over the place after about 2 hours of gameplay they dirve you nuts
2. Too much wandering through Heating and AC vents trying to get nowwhere
3. Not enough Useful upgrades to the starting weapons like the batarang
4. Simpistic Boss Fights, alot of knocking off the goons first and then the actuall boss fight is 3-4 hits and he’s toast.
5. The riddler challenges, I find myself compelled to get these darn question marks but there doesn’t seem to be a point to it unless you want to embark on some silly afterquest, I am a main story line kinda of player I rarely go back and accomplish mundane tasks/challenges where their is no clearly defined point to the activiitys besides a check mark?
6. All the locked doors in certain areas you can disable the security doors and others you can’t you have to learn this by trial and error.
7. Detective mode is cool and all but the fact that you have to use it for more than 1/2 of the game is annoying becuase it throws you into this mode where everything is in a weird infrared environment (well the dominant color is actually light blue but it feels like infrared mode).
Overall this game is pretty fun, but it could use some serious improvements to match up with the classics.
Excellent Game!

This game is great! I was never into the DC Comics/Batman movies as much as Marvel, but this game is easy to get into. The game action is great and the background history on the characters gets the player familiar with the backstory. The Riddler puzzle solving adds to the game in that the player has a side mission they are always trying to fulfill. The voice acting and cutscenes are spot on from what I have seen of the cartoon characters.
The challenges let the gamer get into perfecting the abilites of Batman. The Joker fighting style is awesome in the PS3 version. He fights exactly how I would envision the characted doing.
I highly recomend this game!
A new era
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Since the NES comics and video games have tried many times to come up with a game that is actually innovative and captures the magic of the comic its based on. Few have been able to and there have been some horrible examples in the past. Batman Arkham Asylum breaks this mold like a sledge hammer going through a piece of dry wall. In this game you feel like Batman, from the detective skills to the combat you feel immersed in the game. The story is great and the game play fits the story and style perfectly. I think it important to mention the design of the game because it captures Arkham with amazing detail. You feel like you are making your way into the heart of darkness, the design, the Gothic architecture, all blend to make a truly immersive game that somehow avoid feeling repetitive. Even when fighting multiple armed foes you feel like the bad ass you are as Batman. The boss battles are great and well laid out. The only disappointment is the ended, I won’t ruin it but I think it could have ended much better. But it is well worth the play and there are enough Easter Eggs for more than one play through to find. This is the new standard for video games based on comics and hopefully the start of a new era and not a one off. Great game.
The Ultimate Batman Game!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Coming from an unknown studio and a mixed-bag publisher, I had a hard time getting excited about Batman: Arkham Asylum. After all, there hasn’t been a good Batman game since the Sega Genesis. Against the odds, Rocksteady and Eidos knocked this out of the park — making not only the best Batman game ever, but also a near shoo-in for game of the year!
Arkham Asylum captures the true essense of Batman — the gadgets, the mystique, the cool villains. It offers a wealth of exploration without a work too big for its own good. In terms of both graphics and sound it’s at the top of the gaming mountain. The combat is sublime while also being simple enough for anyone to master. Free downloadable content has been plentiful.
Basically, this game does everything right. Even subtle things like loading, cutscenes, and camera work perfectly. It lifts concepts and mechanics from many other games, but it never feels like a ripoff. This is its own completely awesome game.
I can’t recommend Batman Arkham Asylum enough, and I’m someone who plays just about every game out there. I’m also glad I bought it on PS3, because playing as Joker in challenge mode was worth deviating from my normal console of choice (the 360). If you’re on the fence, shoot a bat-hook in the direction of “buy” and jump on the bat-wagon.
Awesome game

This game has everything you want from a game, good graphics, excellent gameplay, good story, and most important the physics engine is GREAT. The physics engine adds a powerful sense of reality to the game which makes of it the best in superhero video games.
pd. I bought it for ps3, even better!!!
Best game yet!!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I couldn’t believe how addictive this game is. I’ve only had one other game captivate my attention this much. The first Resistance, Fall of Man was this compelling to play, now with Batman AA, I am just taking a break from it to tell you all how much fun this game is. Now back to the game!!!
I’m Batman.

This has dethroned (just barely) Infamous as the best superhero game ever. You feel like Batman, you do the awesome things Batman does. And you do it with the style of Batman.
The main campaign is a little short, but this game is an incredible ride.
The portions of the game where you sneak around hunting the bad guys are pure fun. This is what video games are supposed to be about!
Excellent game with cinematic feeling
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It is an excellent game that keeps you engaged all the time. The story is very well developed in a way that included most of the villians Batman has faced in his movies and comics. The game play and controls are very good and have the cinematic style in it.
The story has nothing to do with the recent films. So, it is genuin.
IT IS A GAME THAT CAN’T BE REFUSED
Button masher
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The graphics and sound are good, but this game is just a button masher. Fighting consists of pressing the same two buttons again and again.
excellent game!!

One of the best games of the year. And by far the best batman game to date. must buy!
Surprised!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m not going to describe everything in the game and I don’t want to spoil it for you but one thing is for sure and that is the game is purely awesome and positively outrageous. The game is so damn fun and the stealth elements in the game are on par with the stealth genre and fits the character and his surroundings. As a Metal Gear fan I must admit that this game surpassed my expectations when it came to stealth because I thought that stealth might be too primitive except on the contrary it was brilliant and was done in a sophisticated way. The story and voice acting are unmatched in the superhero genre and I can guarantee you that you will be blown away by Joker’s performance in the game. The game is a must buy and is for sure my Game of The Year. Go buy it and do it NOW!
The Best Superhero Game ever made
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It’s gonna be a while before they top this game. The gameplay and detailed graphics are only topped by the great voice acting and story. Get ready to face most of Batman’s rivals (well..I don’t think anything can prepare you for the beginning of The Scarecrow levels) inside Arkham Asylum while solving the very entertaining challenges left behind by The Riddler and unlock upgrades for your suit and weapons, profiles and trophies.
If you loved the cartoon you will be pleasantly surprized by the voice talent (Mark Hamill is the best Joker if you ask me) and if you like the Nolan movies (who doesn’t?) there is a level of grityness and realism (but not too much) that makes this a very unique version of the Batman universe that just has to be experienced. I want to see other developers be this bold and ambitious with other comic book games. I definitely consider it a long game, but it’s not tedious because of the variety of challenges. It gets better as you go along. Money well spent.
One of the best Batman bits o’ media ever.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is one of the best Batman interpretations I’ve ever seen. This is one of the best video games I’ve ever played. The voice acting is top notch. The play is insanely fun. The story is great. And the game is even a little scary, as well it should be since it all takes place on Arkham Island. I can’t even express effectively enough how awesome this game is. Buy it.
House of the criminal insane!

I really enjoyed the fact to be able to use the Detective Mode which is basically x-ray vision. The game is really great and worth the money!
Batman is great
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This game was awesome. Great mix of action and puzzles. I enjoyed almost every aspect, found the voice work to be fantastic and really had a great time playing it. My only gripe would be the boss fights were pretty easy once you figured them out. However, don’t let that detract from the game as the story is cool, the graphics are great and it was like playing an updated version of the batman cartoon from the 90′s. Definitely Recommended.
