truly the road warrior machine
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is one of the best Mac laptops on the market, period. (The best PC laptop on the market, in my opinion is the Sony VAIO Z series with the high res screen option).

I recently traded the 15″ for this 13″ and although I greatly miss the 15″ screen and the wonderful speakers on the 15″ (the 13″ speakers are good but not as rich and bassy as the 15″) but overall I love this smaller machine.

Let me get what I don’t like out of the way:

–wish the screen resolution were much higher (compare to the Sony VAIO Z series which has such outrageous screen resolution)

–wish it were a bit lighter that 4.5 lbs (although this machine is exceptionally sturdy, so willing to deal with a little bit heavier than similar size machines)

And that’s it for the wish list. Now what I absolutely love:

–the ergonomics — way better than anything else out there, PC or Mac.

–backlit keyboard, comfortable typing area (feels luxurious to rest your hands on the surface of the textured aluminum area)

–fast OS (Snow Leopard), fast machine, great power management

–first machine i’ve owned that doesn’t get overly hot, in fact even barely warm

What I do highly recommend though is to get — if you can afford it — is a 256Gb SSD (Corsair). This gives the machine extra speed, better battery power, and true longevity. No need to worry about damaging the disk while traveling, defragmenting (oh, so glad that era is over). This is an expensive option ($650 or so) but really well worth it by a long shot. The SSD equipped machine will last you a long time.

I bought this Mac due to my daughter broke my macbook. So this was a very good replacement. I was very excited to receive my new macbook pro and I am loving it.

Its from Apple and called Pro!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is perhaps one of the best deals to buy from apple.

Its a macbook pro, it has enough power to run any number of applications and with the video graphics card, it is simply a beast.

I run this macbook with leopard and I have been a very happy customer.

Everything is good about this laptop – battery life, unibody, screen, keyboard, multi finger gestures, power and also the price. A perfect 5!!

I just love it

This is the first computer I buy from Apple (I have the iphone). It took my a while to convince myself that I should change from PC to Mac. I’ll never regret taking this decision. Simplicity, performance and design resume this great device.

Don’t hesitate if you have to buy it…

Great little system…a stunner!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Great little product. A little on the pricey side, but then again, Dell is coming out with expensive products of their own. Still, the build quality, looks is probably still unmatched in this 13″ segment. Stunning color display and I opted for the faster 2.53GHz process and 4Gig of Ram, which might add a little heat to the system when performing strenuous tasks, but I can assure you the system is blazing fast. I’ve had the MacBook Pro for almost a month now, and haven’t gotten the chance to explore its every features and goodies, but most tasks are done easily, quickly and effortlessly. I’ve adapted well to the Snow Leapord OS but still miss some Windows functionality. I’ve pretty much used every program in the iLife 09 suite of software with the exception of Garageband. I can say the software is very intuitive, and easy to use. When importing, encoding, or exporting HD video, the processor gets tasked a little bit, and the system gets pretty hot on the bottom near the power plug. Beware of putting it on your lap or uncovered arms. All in all, the most best looking and slickest laptop I’ve seen in a while. Kudos and style points all the way.

13″ mbp inconsistency
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My wife and I have the exact same unit, aside from the date purchased. My MBP is a month newer.

We both really enjoy using them, and find the size is perfect for our needs which are totally different.

My wife does mostly surfing, email, and office administrative tasks which require her to run windows through VMware for their office’s Windows based accounting and payroll software. I, on the other hand, use my machine for editing 1080p video and 21megapixel photos. To compensate for the size of the screen, I connect my Macbook Pro to a 24″ display.

What I find strange though is the difference in battery life, heat, and wifi reception of our machines when doing the EXACT same tasks.

My MBP lasts 3.5 hours maximum, gets quite a bit warm, and gets really good wifi reception. My wife’s MBP lasts 5.5 hours, stays cool, and gets very weak wifi reception.

To be honest, I don’t know whose MBP is better off, or whether both units are defective, but nonetheless, we are still quite happy with our machines!

Best Laptop for its price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This Macbook is amazing in two different ways, one of which pc laptops have not really emulated yet.

1. Very advanced laptop. You can read about the specs on your own, but you can do whatever you need to do on this laptop. Amazing trackpad (it’s so addictive).

2. Arguably the best laptop case out in the market. Seriously. Solid aluminum, pleasing to the eyes, durable (won’t mess up like plastic), etc

Everything about this laptop is perfect. If you can afford it, GET IT!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Perfect
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I love this laptop. It just works. No complicated firewall. No MS DOS screens. No pre loaded junk popping up every time I open the computer. It just works. Took it out of the box and it connected to my wireless. No problems. A bit expensive I will admit but I can honestly say that I have absolutely no buyers remorse here. That is rare for me. The 13 inch macbook feels solid and sits on your lap perfectly. Stable and easy to use. Buy it.

absolutely amazing.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
this laptop is pure bliss. you can’t go wrong with it unless your on a budget then i would suggest an hp otherwise definitely go mac. the new trackpad is so sweet, i cant stand any other laptop trackpads now that ive been spoiled by the macbook pro’s. the backlit keyboard is also really cool too, the screen is beautiful, and the computer runs extremely smooth. One thing with the whole magnetic charger, its good most of the time, but it does get annoying when it pops out from just a little touch. no biggie though. this was my first mac, im never switching back. its just perfect

Best Computer Ever
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is my second Mac. The first already made me think differently about computers. More reliable, fast and easy to use than all Pcs I ever used. The battery duration is amazing, the lighted keyboard is excellent, the screen and its resolution is perfect. This is a fantastic computer not only for entertainment but for corporate or home office use. Even if you need (I can’t find a reason) to use Windows, you can do it in your Mac and amazingly it works better than in a Pc. Now that I’m talking about the operating system, Snow Leopard is the best thing I ever used. If you are considering to buy a computer, I really suggest you look very close at Mac choices. To finish: It will be really, really difficult for me to consider a computer different from Mac.

MacBook Pro and Amazon’s customer service
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased the MacBook Pro from Amazon about three weeks ago. After two weeks, the MacBook screen became distorted and the resolution would fade in and out as I moved the screen up and down. I took it to an Apple store and the tech advised me that the computer was defective ( wiring issue ) and I should return it to Amazon….. I contacted Amazon and within 24 hours I had a new MacBook Pro in my lap and the instructions to return the defective one. I love the Mac and I love Amazon’s hassle free customer service more!

very good build and useful
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
i did not buy this from amazon. i bought from mac mall as they always have the best price on macs on the net. i had my white macbook for almost three years. i have been a pc user all my life. the macbook that i bought in 2006 was my first mac, i used to replace my pcs every year or two years at the max. since switching to the mac, i am able to keep my computers for almost three years.

i own a small business and rental properties. i used my mac to run quickbooks and some windows programs. i use sun vmbox which is free for running windows. i just got my macbook pro 13 inch. this is a real joy to use. i have already transferred all my information to this computer. the lighted key pad and the big touch pad are joy to use. i have bought a speck clear case for this mac. i like the clear case as this makes my mac more beautiful. the aluminum surface is prone to scratches. this is why i recommend a good case.

the battery life is something that i cannot comment on yet. i have not tested the battery fully yet. i am going to update my review as i find out more about this pc. so far i am very satisfied with the performance of this computer both from the looks and functional perspective.

Went from a Dell to this
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I gotta say, I have been nothing but happy with Mac. The computer runs really well and their customer service is top notch. I got this after my Dell crashed w/ the Blue Screen of death (no matter what I did that thing was never working) So, I invested in the macbook pro which is good for me because I am a filmmajor and this is what I need to use final cut. Great computer and great customer service. This was probably the best investment I made in my life!

I miss some of the features (very few) of my old PC. I don’t like iPhoto. I love iMovie!

I should have tried Safari. It’s so much better than Explorer.

I love it!

Time Machine works great!!!

I love it!

The trackpad is brilliant!!!

I love it!

My Mac looks so nice! It makes my not so old Vaio PC look really dated.

I love it!

Did I mention that I love it?
