I have loaded about 90 gig of music onto this iPod and it works great, lots of storage.

I use it ever day in my car and the sound is great.

Me, My Best Friend and Brother All think this IPod is #1
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I recently got the new 160 GB IPod. at the same time My best Friend Bought One too. we also got my brother one for his 33 birthday as well. All I’ve heard from my best friend and brother is nothing but raves.. I can tell you this is miles ahead of the old 160 of which I’ve been though tree and still have a working one as well. First off it’s much smaller and compact. it is also much faster to use and seems to be faster to download too as well. there are 2 features I am not too familiar with but that seem to be good as well. First off the genius feature that is available with the new ITunes versions can be used straight from your IPod and I believe you get your TV shows in HD as well. As I only download music this feature doesn’t apply to me. All in all it’s nice to have a smaller more compact easier to use version of the IPod 160 GB classic. I only wish they would make a bigger IPod Classic as this is only a part of my music library!

Love this thing!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Until about a year ago, I thought “What’s so hard about changing a CD? Why would you need to carry around a bunch of music? 160 GBs? Who could ever use that much space.” Then I bought a 8 GB Touch, figuring I’d be fine w/ switching out music and video. Before long, I knew I needed something with more capacity and that it would be nice to have almost all my music available when I wanted it. I bought the previous 160 GB version but never got it to work right and returned it. The new version works perfectly. I’ll probably fill it up, but I’ll have a lot of fun doing it!

One Problem to watch out for
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I connected a Belkin Tune Talk microphone to my new ipod and spent a few hours recording at an annual event. Came home, hooked the ipod up to my Mac and my Mac immediately said it would initialize the ipod to make it work with the Mac. Of course it erased the hours of recording I had on the ipod. So, when you buy a new ipod, hook it up to your computer before you use it or you’ll lose your data.

160 gigs of awesomeness, perfect companion to my 32GB iPhone 3GS
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
even though I have an iPhone 3GS, I wanted an iPod to carry my entire library (55 gigs) so I can have all my music on an iPod and also to serve as a backup hub for my music, since I did have a hard drive crash this year and my old 80 gig 5G ipod saved my stuff. This summer, I gave my 80GB 5G iPod away to my cousin and now I need a new one. Maybe in about two years, when iPhone are up to 128GB, i won’t need a classic around anymore…

iPod now at 160GB on one platter, I never thought this day would come. At just $255, it’s a perfect complement to my iphone. I remember a few years back, I had a 1st gen shuffle, 2nd gen mini, 1st gen nano, ipod photo, and the ipod video, and I used all 5 of them. The iPhone has allowed me to finally consolidate down to just it and the 160gig classic. I see this classic being with me for many years, serving as a nice archive.

crappy suport for audio books
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The support for audio books sux. the only way to view them is sorted by title. have theese people never been to a library? when you are trying to find a book you go by author then title, when everthing is listed by title only it is a p.i.t.a trying to find books. Also the software update that is avail won’t load from vista 64b. Used my 1 free call to tech sup. to ask about theese things & was told that this was fault of operating sys, funny i thought software was supposed to be designed to work with os not the other way around. as for the prob with audio book sorting i was told that was bcuz i didn’t get books from istore, i guess downloading from istore adds menu options to ipod that rn’t there otherwise. felt more like i was being talking to a salesman than a tech support specialist. I did manage to find out that i could go by apple store & get software update installed free but this was not pointed out to me tell i asked if it was so. Yet they think i shlould pay more money to have access to more of the same. Until they have seriouly changed there attitude i will NOT be buying anymore apple products!

Review for an IPod Classic
Rating:5 out of 5 stars

“Oh I love this song!!” this is what I said when I first got my iPod from my brother. I had and I pod classic since I was in 7th grade and I am in 9th grade now, and it has been working great since I got it.

This iPod has been working very excellent since the day I got it. It has very good quality and a great screen, and big text so you can see which song you are listening to very well. Also if comes with many features like a stopwatch, games, and timer. Some other excellent features about an IPod Classic is that you can shuffle your music and upload pictures and you can make a slideshow with your music. Also you can upload some contacts incase you forget any numbers.

You should buy an iPod Classic because it has a big screen so you can see what song you are listening to. Unlike other MP3′s or CD players you don’t need to squint or put the device up to your eyes or face. Another reason you should buy an iPod classic is because you can upload your favorite pictures and make a slideshow with your music. This is a great feature because you can show your friends your favorite pictures. Another reason is that you can shuffle your music so you don’t have to choose by yourself you can just hit shuffle and listen to random songs. In Conclusion, these are some amazing features are all included in the IPod Classic. I very much enjoy my IPod I listen to it all the time, especially on the bus.

doens’t take many video formats
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This ipod has a ridiculous amount of space. It’s pretty easy to use. The only complaint I have is that I can’t put most of my videos on the ipod (iTunes doesn’t read the format).

It is a black box
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Realy i have more spectatives from it, you always need the itunes (program from apple) tu acces to the music inside of your ipod, the itunes is like a machine from promotions and it tired my, the batery of a new ipod have poor hours of use, etc…

A great product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It has been a while since I have had a new ipod. The last one I had was a 2nd generation ipod mini with 4gb that I still and that work just fine. I wanted to put all my music in one place, so I bought this new one to accommodate my desire. It is a fine product that has met my expectations handsomely. Apple scores again with its easily accessible interface and high quality sound, all in a smaller case, lighter case than my old one. I am very pleased.

So much space
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
All I can say is Wow. I used to be a DJ and run a Karoke business and I have six big books of CD’s that I am trying to download on my Ipod so I can get rid of them. I have already downloaded two books and still have tons of room left on it. If you love music and have lots of it like I do, with diffrent types of music than this is the ipod for you. Buy it you won’t be dissapointed.

Better than the Zune 120
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had to return my Zune 120gb because the 5 hour audio battery life was unacceptable. I’m glad the Zune had a terrible battery life because I traded it in for the Ipod 160gb and the only thing the Zune has over the Ipod is a nicer screen.

Positives; Long Battery Life, Very Easy To Use, Resume Function, Sound Quality, Very Portable, Great Shuffle Mode with an option to leave certain things out of the shuffle, Sleep Timer, Alarm, Sound check to normalize volume, On The Go Playlist…

I haven’t found anything bad about it but I’ve only had it for 2 weeks. The only bad thing I could say about it is I wish there was a way to delete songs from the player instead of having to hook it up to a PC.

If you have MP-3 files DO NOT buy
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
After the hassle I have had with converting my mp-3′s and syncing this POS, I am sorry I bought it.

This was my third MP-3 and definitely the biggest hassle of all.

I figure I might have my MP-3 files complete conversions to APP format by next week.

The sync is not intuitive and the instructions are terrible unless you call the

infomercials for i-tunes provided helpful.

They are not.

This will be my last Apple product, they are way too Apple-centric.

Old Music Lovers Not Forgotten!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
So relieved that Apple continued and improved the iPod Classic with this 160GB version. Now I have space for my ever expanding song collection. It fits into my old iPod 40GB carrying case. The new ear phones are much more comfortable.I am a happy camper with this one!
