Preforms great, quiet, takes up a small amount of space…such great quality at a cheap price.

One of the best I have ever owned.

Amazing Value!!!

We bought this for our granddaughters, so we haven’t personally used this computer, but from what they say, they love it. It shipped very fast, was well-packed, and the instructions for hooking everything up were easy to follow. Great value!

Best Desktop for the Price.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Best Desktop for the price, on the web. Amazon the best with the Prime Amazon 3.99 USD 1 day shipping. Got it in 1 day.

For a Family PC you do not need more. Great Product. I Wrote this Review because a read the reaviews before buying and heard this PC did not have Anti-virus Solution, but it comes with Norton Security, free 60 trial. Norton is not using lot of space as it used to do, the product look good. I has Intel procesor Atom.. great.. I am very happy with my new pc.

Nice little compact unit
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a great value for a basic usage computer. The only thing I don’t care for is the mini keyboard. It has it’s restrictions. I hooked up a standard keyboard I had sitting around. The keyboard I hooked up works well with this computer. I would recommend this computer if you don’t need a lot of extras.

Computer is pitiful for this day and age.
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I’m shocked by some of the reviews I have seen here and wonder if someone is padding the numbers a bit to make it have so many good reviews. If you are looking for a computer that will literally ONLY browse the web (news, email or what have you) this computer will work for you for probably another 6 months to a year. However, if you plan on using any major applications, you are going to be really disappointed. Such as using Microsoft Office, or many other standard business applications then you will need to have a lot of patience as these programs will either not run at all, or run so slow it will take a very long time to do even the most simple tasks. This computer is not upgradeable. Meaning if you purchase a program that requires you to have 2 gigs of ram, your just out of luck. On most computers you are at least able to upgrade the ram.

Basically, this is the type of computer specs we saw 5 or more years ago. This will never be able to run vista (or windows 7 when it comes out this fall), and there is nothing you can do to “upgrade” it to use those operating systems. You will simply have to purchase a new computer. Even educational programs (for children up through college) will not be able to run on this PC simply because it just can’t handle it. Microsoft will also be “sunsetting” windows xp now in the next year because of Windows 7 being released this October. If you were to continue to use Windows XP after microsoft does this, you will be opening your computer up to a ton of security problems. When microsoft stops supporting an operating system that means they will make no updates, and hackers will be able to find new flaws in XP and Microsoft simply will not fix them, instead urging you to upgrade to windows 7 where they will continue to maintain security releases for several years in the future.

I understand that for some baby boomers (or other people more accustomed to typewriters) may not think they require a powerful pc, and usually don’t. However, this computer is already so outdated and as web browsers continue to be updated and upgraded you are going to be left behind (such as Internet Explorer for windows or Mozilla Firefox). The web is now heading in to a turning point where it is no longer going to be text dominated. Text will be replaced in many places by video’s which again, will not be able to run on this computer, or that will be so slow, there will be no point.

While I understand during this economic climate the urge to spend as little as possible on things like a computer, but this just isn’t a good choice. You can find other computers that are also reasonably priced ($300.00 and up) that will be able to handle what is here now and what is coming in the next few years. I would sincerely recommend saving up another hundred to get yourself something that is going to last and can be upgradeable. If you are not savvy with a computer, ask a family, friend or neighbor to help you out. Anyone with even a slight understanding of how computers run will realize this one just isn’t going to last and it will be completely unusable in a year or even 2 years at the most.

While I agree that it is a nice small box, you can find other computers that are just as small for a slightly higher price, but then you will be able to upgrade when the time comes. With this computer, there will be no upgrade. You will simply have to dispose of it completely so you can purchase a new one. Save your money folks, speak with a family member or anyone else that you know that has a good knowledge of computers and let them help you find something.

I hope this is helpful, and I’m not trying to bash on any previous reviews or compac in general. But, I just don’t understand why a computer maker would make a computer that is already considered extremely obsolete, and not be upgradeable.

Great machine
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Replaced a 2 year old compaq with VISTA that experienced disk and registry errors all over the place at different times. CHKDSK said machine was fine. Thought I would try this little bugger and love it (mainly it’s op system (xp)). Fan noise is not a problem because it only runs for 20-25 seconds every 4 hours or so. Has all capabilities I need at an amazing price.

Nice little desktop/Nettop PC
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have been using PCs for more than twenty years and have used variety of desktops and laptops. This is my first experience with the new category of PCs — Nettop. I have had this for a week and I am pleasantly surprised with it. It performs satisfactorily for browsing, email, MS Office, YouTube kind of tasks. It may not do very well with graphics or CPU intensive applications, so stay away from those.

I have this PC setup as a Home File server. To do that I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 Linux in a dual boot configuration. It performs much better than XP because it consumes less resources.

The keyboard is smaller than the standard size, but it did not take long to get used to. Some of the keys are not registering strokes on the first attempt, especially if you type fast. It becomes an irritation when your password is rejected even though you entered the correct one. I am not sure if this is a fault with just my keyboard or if it is a design flaw. I am planning to talk to HP support and see if they can help.

I have reduced one star from the perfect score because of the keyboard issue otherwise this PC provides best value for the buck.

Couldn’t believe it!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m not a computer “geek” looking for a desktop with all the bells and whistles, costing big bucks. I wanted a desktop that gave me good performance without breaking the bank. I couldn’t believe it when my Compaq CQ2009F Desktop PC arrived! The size is great, not taking up massive amounts of space on my computer desk. Kind of reminds me of the changes that happened in the size and price of hand held calculators. It fits the bill for a “Baby Boomer” raised on manual typewriters with no other performance capacity.

I bought this product a month ago and they misrepresented the item
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I bought this item a month ago and they first had it listed with a monitor as well. Themn after i complained they changed the ad. That has happened more than once. Be careful what you buy on here. Peolpe are desperate these days and will sell their soul.

GREATEST COMPUTER EVER!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3N7FSJKD91ARW this computer rocks! it super small, fast, quite, and consumes very low power. It only took five minutes to set it up…it comes with a mouse and a keyboard (the keyboard does not include the number keys in the very right)…the thing that impresses me the most is how FAST, I MEAN REALLY FAST this computer is. Especially when it comes to surfing the internet, its like a new “interneting” experience. I payed about an extra 20 dollars for two-day shipping, so my bill came to about 300 bucks.I was initially going to choose the free-shipping method but I figured it will take forever for the computer to arrive…It has 4 USB ports(2 at front and 2 at the back) and a SD card reader…It comes with a 60 norton anti-virus, but you won’t really need it since you could just download firefox as your internet browser, so no worries about getting a virus…

The video will show what the computer looks like.

Buy the suggested package and get a really good deal.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Perfect kitchen email etc. computer. Bought the package deal with the Acer 17 inch monitor and Logitech speakers. Really very nice for the money and if you are using a computer which cost about $1000 five years ago you are in for a nice surprise. Easy set up when simply changing out existing components.

Very reasonable computer
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have had the computer since about three weeks now and it seems to work great thus far.

For the price I think it is a great little machine, just a bit larger than a bread toaster, however it can handle every task.

With flash programs it seem may be a little bit overwhelmed, other than that it is a great buy.

Wonderful little desktop computer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am very pleased with my purchase of this cute little desktop. It is fully capable of everything that my family and I need it for (webing, word processing, etc.) and the front panel camera memory card input was a nice unexpected bonus.

The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the compact keyboard which didn’t have the right side numbers keypads. I just use my old keyboard instead. Other than that, you can’t beat this unit for the money and I highly recommend it’s purchase.

I replaced the dinosaur!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this computer based on all the positive reviews, an I must say they’re right on with this computer. I love it’s small size it’s so cute perfect for small apartments, dorms, even a your kitchen, go figure! I’m no techie but the hard drive space it pretty good (fast startup/downloads). I have no complaints about this computer, other than I wish it came w/ a monitor as well. All I can say is that I love my computer!
