Navigation and Entertainment with Ease
For starters, the nüvi 360 includes a high-sensitivity integrated GPS receiver that offers exceptional performance and reception. The unit’s flip-up antenna includes an MCX-type connector for optional external GPS antenna connection. Preloaded software features maps of Europe or North America, and it includes automatic routing, 2D or 3D map perspective, turn-by-turn voice directions that speak street names, and a fingertip touch screen interface — making navigation as easy as it gets.
But navigation is just the beginning. Like the nüvi 350, the nüvi 360 also includes many entertainment and travel tools including an MP3 player, audio book player, JPEG picture viewer, travel alarm, and currency converters.
The nüvi 360 features a bright, 2.8 x 2.1-inch TFT display with white backlight for easy readability. At 3.87 x 2.91 x 0.87-inches (WxHxD) and just 5.1 ounces, the unit is small enough to be placed on the dashboard with the included suction mount, or into your pocket for easy transportability. The unit also features Garmin Lock — an advanced anti-theft feature that disables the unit from performing any functions until you type in a specific four-digit PIN or take the unit to a predetermined location. A built-in lithium ion battery will give you up to eight hours of power, and an included 12/24 volt adapter cable will let you run the navigator off your vehicle’s power. An AC battery charger is also included.
A built-in Travel Kit that includes sample MP3s and audio books will get you started with entertainment, and with the unit’s SD memory card expansion slot you can add optional software, such as language and travel guides. A USB port is also included for loading and updating data.

Great product, garmin does it again.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I luv this thing and use it all the time everywhere i go even just to find something to eat around my area. It is extrmely esy to use and amzing brightness even in direct sunlight. It works very well, the only drawback is the sound is a little lowere than i would like it. Sometimes you have to turn your radio all the way off just to hear it or get really close to eat which sometimes may become a nucense, but other than that no complaints. It is always dead on with accuracy and makes finding unfamiliar places a cinch. Easy to use and easy to set up. Would recommend this to anyone who travels on the road all the time or even if you arent very good with directions, this will always keep you on the right path

good gps. voice is loud enough if you dont play the radio too loud. the window mount dropped off twice before i decided not to use it. the outside temp was in the mid to high 90′s, however, so i doubt anything would have remained fixed.
i have managed to confuse it twice. both times when i neared an interstate/highway where more than 4 or 5 lanes began to slowly branch apart. it had a hard time indicating which of the 4 or 5 lanes i should be on. as i have never owned a different model this may be charecteristic of all gps’
forego the mounting hardware and go to wal mart for some industrial velcro. mount the gps with this (on dash areas) and you have more options in more cars.
Easy GPS

I had borrowed 2 other gps units and finally bought this one. We love it! I use it all the time, even if it is just to see what time we will arrive. The others had our house on the wrong side of the street, but this is correct. I do double check routes before we go on long trips because one time it didn’t take us on interstates which was slightly longer but much more convenient and straight. Be sure and keep the unit plugged into the back, not the side. The side outlet will work with the adapter but it messes up the unit and causes it to go very slow and not calculate correctly. The bluetooth feature is nice although my son does not like the reception but no one else has complained. We love it!
Good but Slow
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
When I got this GPS it was the hottest thing at the time, but 3 years later, I guess it is a lot slower to find the signal..my other one is much faster and it is unbranded. But this Nuvi is very reliable.
Very good for the price

Excellent help when traveling, only bad side, the voice is very soft even at higher volume.
Good enough

This GPS is good at what it is designed to do; get you to your destination. All other features are pretty much hit or miss. It locates satellites fairly quickly (30 seconds at a stop, 2 minutes moving). The ETA to the destination is usually right on the money when there isn’t any traffic.
The “Spell name” feature is spotty. You can be looking for a McDonald’s, and instead of listing the one down the street, it will sometimes point you to the one across town. Also, very rarely,it will take you to a completely wrong address. I was looking for a specific Chinese restaurant a week ago. I put in the name and it located it with the correct address, but ended up taking me to a Red Lobster across the street. The Chinese restaurant is small, so it took 20 minutes to call around and find it.
Other than that, it is pretty easy to use and gets the job done.
Pro:
Accurate ETA
Maps are fairly accurate
Fast start up
Bluetooth is clear on both ends
Cons:
Low speaker volume (I had to go in and hack it)
Can’t always trust it’s directions
Spell name is hit or miss
Picture viewer is useless
MP3 player has horrible sound
The voice accents sound robotic
Good GPS but poor stand

I bought this GPS system from amazon after I lost another GPS system from Garmin that was running on window CE and was like a handheld organizer. As far as GPS is concerned this Nuvi 360 is exceedingly fast in calculating the route and finding the satellites. The amount of information that is provid on the screen is little sketchy though. I don’t get to see things like how long before I need to make a turn.
Overall I am happy with this GPS. My only gripe is about the suction cup stand that came with this system. Just after coupe of month of use in FL, it has stopped working and I can no longer mount this unit on windshield. Not sure if others have faced this problem too.

Some issues but mostly love it

My household also owns a Garmin Streetpilot and when searching for an additional GPS I tried a magellan. I just didn’t find it anywhere near as user friendly so I sent it back and got my Nuvi 360. It is so easy out of the box and it was great to be able to get the latest and greatest maps online since the version on the unit itself was a bit older. I put on my own little car and use the british voice, just to have a little fun and do things a little differently.
Concerning my Bluetooth, which is, by the way, the reason I picked this model. It worked great at first but now, even though it syncs up fine, the person I call has a real problem hearing me and I’ve stopped using it. It’s a shame because that had become my favorite functionality and I felt so much safer using the GPS for phone calls. I don’t have much of an argument because my phone is not on Garmin’s approved list but it does still work perfectly with my Streetpilot so that leads me to believe it’s an issue with this unit. That being said, I have tried the MP3 and the Audiobook and love them both. The sound isn’t great but does accomplish what is needed. I would definitely buy another Garmin, I think their GPS products are the best on the market.
great product

I bought this for my boyfriend for xmas last yr. This is great. Shame someone broke into his truck and stole it out of his console. I opened it and updated it, added pictures to it, and downloaded music to it. Also I had his cell phone blue toothed to it. Put it back in the box perfectly. It was ready to go xmas morning when he opened it.
When the cell phone rings in the truck or if he rec’d a message, the message went right onto the screen of the garmin. you have the option to hear the message or just read it. The phone calls went thru to the garmin also but half of the time it would be fuzzy guess due to the caller having a cell phone but it worked and it wasnt that bad. still could make out what the caller was saying.
This yr I bought him a Viper Alarm System from Amazon for xmas. Im def going to buy this garmin for him again. I compared alot of garmins and this one fit his needs.

I love it. The price was excellent and I would highly recommend this product and your pricing.
Drop even One time…Its gone for good!

I bought this item for christmas last year in 2008. I purchased it for 169.00 Yes I said 169.00….what is with the new Hefty price for the same model???
I used it occasionally on the dashboard mount. As i was placing it there last week, it fell onto a PADDED car floor. (I have thick all weather proof Mats).
Mind you it was not thrown, and only fell about 2 feet. After picking it up I see that the LCD screen is no longer functioning. There are zig zag lines on the LCD screen.
I do not beleive that a product of this nature which is built to be used in the car, should become useless after this.
The warranty does not cover it.
I will never buy from Garmin again. I can not believe how fragile this was.
The Bomb
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Got one of these for me because of the high ranking in amazon by users, and I totally agree. Got another one for my college sophomore son and he says its the bomb! Likes the bluetooth speakerphone aspect for his iPhone in his SUV, and can now find anything at or around school. The convenient size/portability aspect is great, and the ability to go cordless for a couple of hours is very convenient. Not a widescreen model, but that is why in fits in my pocket.I give it my highest recommendation. You will enjoy it.
Very Good GPS
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’m very happy with this GPS because of It’s simplicity of use and response is perfect. It is not the best GPS but for common people who sometimes travel is great! The Bluetooth with my nokia’s 6311 and 5800 worked perfect. Speed of connection with satellite here in my country 7 out of 10.
I think It have two cons:
1. The external antenna makes it uncomfortable to manage, and seems to be very sensible.
2. Lack of the function to save the route.
Antenna dies after two years
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Used a 360 for two years, was generally happy with it. Then, satellites started going away after it was on a minute or so.
Found instructions on the internet on how to crack the case open yourself. Was able to do that, but couldn’t see anything wrong. Might come in handy when the internal battery dies.
Based on experiences others have posted, tried the cheap $11 external antenna. Worked great. Nice unit, small with a strong magnetic mount.
Have a friend with a 350, he has the flakey power switch that others have reported. I’ve been a long-term Garmin fan, starting with a GPS 12, but really disappointed in how the quality has gone down as they try to compete in the cheap sat-nav market.
At this point, no reason to be buying a 300 series, the 200 series are cheaper and maybe don’t have these two issues. Time will tell.
