Best thing since sliced bread!

I’m glad I bought this! I recently moved to a new city and would have been lost without it! This is a great little GPS at a great price! I have friends who have different, more expensive, Garvin units and the voice on mine sounds a lot better than theirs.

Disapointing GPS navigation device
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
After reading a lot of good feedback, I bought this device. It was very easy to use, but its voice navigation was terrible. It also lacked some basic features compared to Tom Tom. I returned the device and bought Tom Tom. I am very happy with Tom Tom, which has much better voice navigation and more features than Garmin.

We bought Garmin 250 GPS from Amazon for our family’s first trip to Canada this summer. It turned out to be a huge help for us. It’s very precise, and very easy to use.

It’s my first one and I like it.

I bought it mainly for traveling and took it to Phoenix on my last trip to use in my rental car. I would follow my daughter to where we were going and then I could select their home so we could return separately without her having to make sure I was right behind her in the traffic.

Great basic GPS

Perfect for someone who needs an affordable basic GPS. It has all the features that you need to get from point A to point B and all stops in between. Simple to use and easy to follow. Highly recommended.

very good for basic navigation

I use GPS once in a while when I rent a car. Wanted something that could help in navigation and is not expensive. THis was definitely a good choice. I used it few times and did not find any problem. Found it a good choice esp since its less expensive than others. also, when you register the product you get free update on maps once and i got my OS also upgraded.

My charmin’ Garmin takes me for a ride—recalculate, anyone?

still some “glitches” which we “locals” ignore; absence of many Jewish houses of worship in the “places of interest”; unclear instructions for setting displays; eg: emphasizing time of arrival; or to speed up simulating route.

Overall, I like the product; but can’t wait to see if it’s an improvement over the last time I was in “dahn tahn” Pittsburgh, when my old GPS went nuts.

I also appreciate Amazon’s prices and convenience for comparison shopping! and free shipping!

It’s just great !!!

I bought this particular model because a friend of mine has it….It works great…Although I have a good sense of direction, sometimes I like to get off the “beaten’ path”. Now I can get right back on track without a problem….Voice is clear..easy to see graphics….

Very handy little gadget!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My husband uses this for work and we use it just driving around town. He uses it to find places for his work and food places for lunch. We used it to find an easy route to a favorite lunch place. We’ve used it locally just getting around town. This is a handy little gadget! We got the car plug in and the cradle for it. This was a great purchase. Not expensive and worth it for him instead of a Thomas Bros. map guide. Five stars all the way!

Nuvi 250 small, versatile and affordable
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Every member of my family has a Garmin Nuvi 250 in their cars. I have the Nuvi 400 in my motorcycle and they work he same way. User frendly, does not require extensive manual readings to start using it. This compact version is affordable yet excellent for your daily needs.

I purchased this product as a gift for a friend and I know it will be enjoyed. I have one too and I can tell you that navigation is accurate and timing is perfect when making turns. An excellent product in my opinion. A definite must-have.

Worth the Price

The title says French/English and people think it is different from English version. But it is not. I have been using the American-English accent without any problem. It is not as good as my Nuvi-350 but is really worth the price you pay.

First I must point out that this is the first G.P.S. unit I’ve owned of any kind.

The Garmin nüvi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (English/French Version) is a simple to use G.P.S. Navigation device that I’ve used several times so far since buying it and I’d recommend it as a starter unit to anyone interested in getting a G.P.S. or as a low cost alternative to one of the more expensive models if you are on a budget.

simple but does exactly what I wanted

I bought this navi for a trip to Chicago to use in a rental car in an area I was completely unfamiliar with. I was able to use it immediately without any fussing with instructions. I also made quite some use of the POI feature, and found that fantastic (find the next gas station, Dairy Queen, outlet, etc.). Only once did it guide me to a store which had, in the meantime, apparently gone out of business. The instructions were clear and completely adequate. I mounted it with the windshield mount by sticking it to the radio display window, which worked fine (I had read windshield mounting not allowed in Ill.). In fact I found the height even better than on the windshield. It even took me right back to the correct rental car station at the airport. Recommended if you’re looking for a cheap, no-frills but efficient machine!
