Much Better Than The Cable Charger
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this belatedly, after having game store knuckleheads repeatedly tell me that there was really no good reason to buy this charging station, and that charging the controller’s battery in situ using the USB cable to the XBox was an identical solution. Pah! Pah! Not only does this charger charge the battery twice as fast, it charges it separate from the controller, so that one can just exchange the depleted battery with a fresh one in a few seconds, rather than plugging in the controller for four hours or more. I recommend this to everyone.

Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I love how Amazon.com classifies the charge kit as a “game”… No, it is not fun, but what it is is great in it’s simplicity and function… which is, of course, make sure I have a charged battery pack so I can keep having fun. [Obviously] it does the job as intended. Kudos to Amazon.com for getting it here quickly with free shipping.

It is quick!

I got tired of messing with the Play & Charge Kit (should be the slow charge kit since it can take up to six hours to charge battery!) and went with this which charges a battery pack in two hours! It takes approximately four hours with two packs charging. Well worth the investment, and it comes with a white rechargeable battery pack!

Charger does a great job of charging
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This product does everything is sets out to do, it gives you feed back on when the battery is charging and when it is done. It tells you when you have a battery that isn’t functional (no lights). So the only downside that I can find is that I have to move the battery from the controller to the charge station. In my case that is not a big deal at all, but if you want to just game all the time, I could see where this could cut into your game time by like 30 seconds or longer if you don’t have a back up charging. It works great for me though.

Defective and they know it
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The charger stopped working after 2 charges. The light will not come on and and the battery will not charge. The advice from Microsoft is: the product is defective, dispose of the battery safely, replace with a new one. Terrible service, terrible products.

A real time and money saver
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this product because i was tired of paying for batteries every other week and the rechargables just don’t hold a charge as long. I really like this because i can plug in two and just switch out the others and keep on playing. It charged fully in about 3 hours. It’s really handy and convenient. i recommend this to all gamers.

If you have more then 2 controllers you must have this..
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
If you use the cord to charge the controllers you must leave them plugged in until fully charged or you will lower the battey life. My kids run the battery all the way down then play for a little while and shut off the xbox and the controller does not fully charge.. With this it charges fast, about 2 hours, and fully charges them every time. My dieing batterys seem to have more life in them now. Any parent that has kids and many controllers should NOT be without is charger..

Good Stuff
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Basically its a rechargeable battery for any and all Xbox 360 controllers including the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. Comes with one rechargeable battery but has room for two, for simultaneous charging. Plugs into a standard wall outlet and has an led light to indicate the charge (red for charging & green for fully charged). Really truly worth the money, considering the cost of alkaline batteries and the impact they have on the environment these are a must have for any real gamer.

Excellent battery kit
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The battery charges to full capacity in about 2 hours and lasts for a full days worth of gaming. If you’re worried about running one battery down pick up a spare since the charger cradle holds 2 batteries. Leave one charging while the other is in your controller. The battery fits well in both the charger and the XBOX controller.

Bottom line: If you’re tired of changing AA batteries in your controller then this is the solution.

No more dead/dying batteries
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
So you get an extra battery and get to charge your battery without the cord. I also have noticed that using this charger keeps my battery charged for much longer then using the cord. Now when my battery reaches half life I swap them out. I don’t even see the blinking lights on the controller anymore. Totally worth the $.

A Necessity for Any Serious Gamer!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The quick charge kit is a necessity for any gamer who plans on playing Xbox for any significant period of time and works perfectly, as advertised. The nice think about the kit is that it allows you to charge two batteries at once which is good when you’re playing with a friend and batteries begin running low. From my experience, it takes about 2 hours for the battery (which is completely drained) to become fully charged which is not that bad considering other options such as the Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit.

Marti Ayres White March 25, 2010 at 7:04 pm

Very useful. Much better than the play n’ charge kit.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is amazing! When your done playing just pop the batterie(s) on this and when you come back they will be fully charged. The play n’ charge kit was good but it took forever to charge and the cord got extremely annoying to take out and put away all the time but this has really cleared up my gaming space. BUY THIS ACCESSORY!

100% Necessary
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have a 360. My girlfriend owns a 360. We both have multiple controllers. All of those controllers (save for one) is wireless and has a battery pack.

Play and charge kits are nice but did not charge batteries nearly fast enough. When I received my Quick Charge Kit for Xmas and started using it to recharge my batteries I couldn’t believe how fast they charged. In two hours max you will have a completely charged battery.

What I tend to do is leave two batteries in the charger so that there is one for myself and one for my girlfriend when the battery in our controllers die. I can swap out the dead one for a fully charged one in a matter of seconds and be back to playing like nothing ever happened.

This product makes wireless controllers better, it is very much worth the price.

Jay April 14, 2010 at 7:22 am

Well worth the price.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this when my “Play & Charge” cable died, and was very impressed with the build quality of the charger and the speed at which it charges.

The unit is very solidly built and much nicer than I had anticipated. It’s a very attractive unit and it has a nice heft to it and a non-slip rubber base that holds it in place quite well. The batteries are easy to plug in and remove, and the unit is extremely easy to use.

PROS:

Well made

Easy to use

Non-slip rubber base

Very fast charging

CONS:

None!

Beware Only One Battery Pack Included
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I think this is the first review I’ve ever submitted after years of Amazon.com shopping. I liked almost everything about this product (classified as a game by amazon?) until I went shopping for another Battery Pack. This product supplies you with only 1 battery pack (as advertised) and says additional battery packs sold seperately. Really? I have been looking online and in gamestop stores for a battery pack to buy and use with this charging station and i’m striking out. I’ve been on the mega online auction site and they are few and far between. I like this product a lot, but would not buy it again if I had to do it over again. It’s hard to find an additional battery that goes with this thing. I think I would buy the plug and play kit instead.

Usable, not as cool as the other chargers.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
So the charger does what it says, charges 1 battery in 2 hours, 2 batteries in 4 hours. There’s really nothing more to that part, but one thing i have been seeing is charging a battery and getting 3/4 charge. I don’t know if that is a charger station thing, a new battery thing, or a controller thing.

The charger is worth buying since it comes with a battery as opposed to some other charging stations.

Also, it’s made by Microsoft! :)

Recharges Batteries SUPER Fast
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m not going to repeat what everyone else has been saying for years, but I will offer a real situation that should illustrate just how good this battery charge kit really is.

I’ve had it for about three years now, constantly plugged into a power strip–this thing is durable and long-lasting. The Quick Charge Kit charges batteries so fast (2 hours or less to charge one completely drained battery and 4 hours to charge two completely drained batteries) that it actually saved me and my girlfriend while playing Left 4 Dead.

I have four rechargeable batteries and four controllers. My controller goes offline due to a drained battery in the middle of some versus/multiplayer in L4D, and I haven’t been keeping up with recharging my batteries so my spares are also drained and only have one bar left (according to the xbox battery’s icon).

So I quickly switch out my dead battery for one that hasn’t been charged for weeks and I continue playing. After FIVE minutes, my neglected battery also goes offline. I then return to the Quick Charge Kit and snatch the first dead battery (which has been recharging by itself for FIVE minutes) and pop it into my controller. I discover that three bars have returned to my first battery’s meter.

Of course, I thought, this was not an accurate representation of the battery’s power and it would probably go down after five minutes or less. But hey, those humans aren’t going to eat themselves! Thinking this, I put my second battery back into the recharger.

I then play for a good ten minutes before I realized that my battery is not going offline. My controller is blinking, warning me of my eventual dead battery, but I still have one bar left. Just to be safe, I switch my battery again. This time, the recharging battery has been doing so for ten minutes and has four bars (one short of full) and I do not have to switch out for the remainder of the gaming session or the next! By the time I start to worry about the battery again (this same night/session), the Quick Charge Kit has fully charged my battery.

This thing charges batteries SUPER fast. Of course, it will not recharge your battery in 10 minutes flat, but it charges so fast that you will have sufficient power to go through a game or two without worry on a dead battery IF you have spares. Especially, if you only charge one battery at a time. I recommend you do not overcharge your batteries, though. This means do not let the batter sit in the recharger, fully charged/green light, for hours/days/weeks, as this may weaken its lifespan.

A Must Have Peripheral for XBox 360 Owners
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The XBox 360 Quick Charge Kit is a pretty straight forward little device. So I’ll keep my review relatively short and to the point.

The Quick Charge Kit is used in conjunction with the XBox 360 rechargeable battery for the wireless controllers. This kit comes with one rechargeable battery pack included. The packaging on the Quick Charge Kit claims that it can completely charge a depleted battery in about 2 hours, double that to charge 2 battery packs at the same time.

In my experience the charging time estimates are true. Though I usually end up charging my battery packs before they’re completely drained. Typically I’d say that a full charge on one battery takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour.

The Quick Charge Kit comes with an AC power cord that’s about 1.5m long. The unit also features 2 LED’s that indicate the status of the ongoing charge. Orange/Red = charging and Green = charged. Simple and effective.

In the long run the Quick Charge Kit will pay for itself with the savings in not having to purchase regular alkaline batteries. I really think no XBox owner should be without this handy little device.

Saves you on changing 2 AA batteries every 1-2 weeks.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is money well spent, not only does it charge really fast, the charge lasts a long time and this is not even the highest charged batteries available, It does add a couple more ounces to the weight of your controller but that is ok by me. Thank you Microsoft for this.

A Must for Xbox 360 Owners
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
When I saw the ad I wasn’t 100% sure, but I went for it anyways, and I have to admit I don’t regret a bit doing so. If you want to recharge your battery packs in a short amount of time then this product should be in your home.

Great Buy!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was using rechargeable batteries for my Xbox controllers, it got to the point where i was juggling multiple sets of batteries from the charger to the controller, it was a pain, I picked up this Charging Stand and now I can charge one pack while using the other, quick and easy and the packs last longer then my batteries did. Great buy!
