Must have accessory for your XBOX 360.

When I got my Xbox 360 Elite I immediately bought another controller for friends that might come over and I wanted to make things easier with having rechargeable batteries in my controllers. It seemed to be a waste of batteries to continuously change and throw out batteries.

This kit is perfect. It served my needs exactly. Batteries last a reasonably long time, although charging does take awhile (Keep in mind that is mostly the case because you usually are playing while charging). The charging cord is excessively long as well.

If you are tired of dealing with regular batteries and would like a more efficient way of powering your controllers, this is the best thing you could get.

Very handy… For a few months
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I enjoy the ease of use, it is convenient to just plug it in to recharge the batteries.

Unfortunately two out of three of my battery packs died within 6 months of purchase, which means they are only usable while plugged in. As such, I have returned to using rechargeable Energizer batteries, which are cheaper and more reliable (as long as you keep a few extra pairs on hand in case you run out of juice mid-game).

If you’re a gambler, you might as well pick up at least one Play & Charge kit for the sake of convenience, but keep in mind that it costs as much as four AA rechargeable batteries and a charger.

No more batteries!

I can’t tell you how many batteries I have gone through to keep my sons wireless controller running. This plugs into the USB port of teh XBox and charges the battery pack supplied. He loves it because he doesn’t have to stop gaming to run and get batteries.

My nephew needed a new cable for his xbox 360. He wanted one that would match his old one and we found it on Amazon.com. Works great and he’s very happy. Thank you Amazon.com

Xbox 360 Black Play & Charge Kit
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
you might wonder why Black? well this is different than the white one. the white rechargables will not work on the black controlers.I have tryed this with 5 diff. early wireless controlers to find that the black one is for the black controler. must be made by mircrosoft.

Worthwhile purchase for an Xbox 360
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’ve had this accessory for a while now. It’s a great buy and will save you a ton on batteries, but Microsoft still needs to get their rechargeable batteries sorted out properly. They have a tendency to fail completely without any warning. That being said, I got my money’s worth out of the battery before it failed, but it’s handy to keep the case for the AA batteries, or an extra rechargeable around in case this happens when friends are over.

good idea, good execution

A worthy buy in the long run for the money you’ll save on batteries, plus the battery packs last a long time. The cables are nice and long too.

Excellent product, environmentally friendly, works great!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This product beats buying AA batteries for an active XBOX 360 gamer. Simply put…the less batteries you buy, the more you save, and finally the more used batteries that stay out of a landfill.

Great idea….should not be overlooked.

Broken after 6 months
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought 2 of these, after about 6 months, one of the battery won’t charge anymore, so it has to be plugged in all the time while playing. The other one’s charging light doesn’t work anymore, so you can’t tell if it’s charging. They both still work… but I’ll have to get new ones soon.

It works…sometimes!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Ok, let me start by saying this. IF the charger works with your controller then this is a nice to have BUT (seriously, there has to be a but to this because it’s Microsoft) the Play and Charge kit doesn’t work with all 360 controllers! I have no idea why but the black controller that came with my Elite didn’t work at all with the Play and Charge kit. The charge light will turn red for about 30 seconds then turn green indicating a fully charged battery when in fact its not charged at all. Luckily, I had a buddy who’s black controller he bought separate DID work and so traded me controllers. Problem solved…I guess.

Too many issues.

I bought this for my xbox about 2 months ago and its starting to have problems already. Major problems. It worked great for the first 2 months than things went south. I hooked in the charger and it would charge 2 seconds.. not exaggerating. Than it would light up green to say it was charged. I unhook the charger and controller died. I even left the Xbox on for the whole day while the controller was hooked in and it still didnt charge. I googled the problem and contacted customer support and they said I have a dead battery. LIE! My friend let me borrow his quick charge and I placed it in the charging dock and POOF it works. Not the battery.. its the chord. Tried with several other batteries same deal. Go for the quick charge<<

Good Battery, Faulty Cord
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The battery works great and it goes for hours and hours after it’s charged. The cable on the other hand tends to have faulty connection. You usually have to charge when your not using your Xbox because it often will disconnect and stop charging. It become very frustrating during a good action game. If you do have it though, try charging when you go to bed so it can charge in an unchanging environment.

Great Product, few problems
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a great product. There are many pros and few cons.

Pros – It replaces your batteries, you don’t need to buy them anymore

Play AND Charge – it allows you to charge while you play which allows you to charge faster.

Simple – it is really simple to use, just plug it in to the controller and then to the console.

Cons – Sometimes it is difficult to remove the plug from the controller

The batter will slowly lose its charge over time which means you will either not be able to charge it or it will lose its charge very quickly. It is really easy to replace and it isn’t a hassle and it definately is less expensive to use disposable batteries.

Overall – 4 stars – simple to use, very reliable, and overall a better value then disposable batteries

dont waste your money
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I honestly was not really that impressed with this. It will only charge your battery if you actually have the xbox on. Go with the quick charger instead and keep your controller wireless.

If plug in too tight it won’t charge.

Need to redesign this sucker. Workable, but expensive for things like this.MS is good at nickle and dime you on everything..I use it for my pc.

Good
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Well indeed it helps you to avoid wasting money with batteries, but I’ve been having a problem, the charge last for about 2 days and it should be more because I play 2 hours per day :/

convenience in my hands at last!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
i’ve been using batteries for a while now and i’m sick of it. not having batteries when you are playing something is the worst thing that can happen to you on an xbox 360. these work fine, although you have to charge and use them a few times before they can retain their full charge (as expected by rechargeable batteries). and what’s even better is you can play while its charging the batteries thanks to the cable. if you play an average or above average amount of xbox 360 i’d highly recommend this product. i bought two of them for both my controllers.

I tend to leave the chord in but the wireless works great on the battery. Long life and charges fairly fast.

Don’t go without it!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Don’t even think about it twice. I purchased one for my husband and one for my godson and trust me it is well worth the price…you will save so much money and aggravation on batteries.

I dont’ even know how people go without owning one of these if they have players in their home that play frequently.

Worked as advertised

This product did what it was supposed to do, charge the battery pack while I played and allowed me to continue playing wirelessly after unplugging it when the battery was fully charged.

Unreliable, then unusable
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought this kit along with a black wireless controller when Amazon had the bundle as a gold box deal a few months ago. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, then I started to notice that the battery was lasting shorter and shorter periods of playtime. Now it doesn’t hold a charge at all. I plug it in and the light glows red for a second, then goes green. Unplug and the controller is dead.

Luckily it came with a standard battery pack and I now have rechargeable AA batteries and a charger, so I will just go that route and see if it works a little better. As a note, I also bought a white play/charge kit about 6 months before the black one, and it still works fine as of now. Guess it’s luck of the draw on these, which is disappointing.
