Better than the original and a blast to play
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Best of all worlds. I have the first Lego Star Wars that came out with only episodes IV VI. I loved the game so it was a given Id buy this one too.

Ive noticed some subtle changes to the original games IV through VI. They seem to have tweaked it further to eliminate some of the more annoying game play issues that existed. I didnt realize how bothersome they were until I played this version and found it better to play.

My only complaint, and its a minor one, is that the animation seems slower than the first game. Fight animation, particularly with the Light Saber seems a lot slower so the battles have a drag to them. Ive also noticed the in game cinematics dont seem to have the energy the first one did either. The humor is there, but just not quite as much of it. The animation isnt as quick. Im a former animator so its the one thing I tend to pick up on, and bugs me the most out of any game I play.

That said this is one of the better animated games out there and is a joy to play. I love that they included the original versions of some of the sequences as an extra. They are more linier so you get a good idea of how much goes into making a game like this. I found it very informative and fun to play those original games. Im glad they resolved the problems with them and did not ship the game with them as the final product. Good choice guys. Im sure it wasnt easy to abandon them after going so far with the design but you made the right choice.

Not as much fun as one would think
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This game really does stick with the story line for the most part but like any game does in fact embelish a bit. The most annoying part is the fact that none of the characters talk, they only make this grunting sound for stuff. Its a bit ammateur really and gets old really fast. I found myself finishing the game simply because it would be a waste of money if I didnt.

Another Decent Star Wars Game
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’ve built legos my whole life as a hobby and what could be better than when combined with Star Wars and put into a game! Right?

Well yes, and no. The game is very easy to pick up and play, excellent cooperative functionality, cute and funny, and good for some quick fun.

On the other hand, the achievements (XBox 360 only) are difficult to achieve and to 100%, totally, completely finish the game each level needs to be replayed at least once. Although as you collect new characters and open new areas of a level, for a gamer who loses interest quickly or forgoes multiple play throughs with the “oh great I have to play this AGAIN?” attitude, this game should be avoided. The levels can be quickly played through, maybe 30-90 minutes per level, shorter or longer depending on how much the player explores or doesn’t and/or how quickly they figure out the (simple) puzzles within a level (for example: Anikin can go through crawl spaces no other character can, so a level may have you send him to push a button and then requires Jar Jar (who can jump higher than anyone) to jump across a bridge and hit a lever to lower it). Each level though CAN BE COMPLETED with any combination of characters.

There is no “story line”. From the main area are doors to each episode 1-6 and within each episode’s area are 6 doors to the “acts” within each episode. In total that amounts to an average gameplay time of 36 hours at an hour per act across all 6 movies.

The game is fun but can get boring and without a Mass Effect quality story line the gameplay feels dejected from act to act although the cut scenes between acts are cute and funny (as are the lego games).

So much fun even a part time gamer can enjoy it + STAR WARS!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The first time I played any of the Lego series was with a bundle pack I got with my X-box 360, The Indiana Jones series. After playing that for a little while and having a great time with friends I noticed the Star Wars game on sale I didn’t hesitate.

The graphics are excellent and there is a lot of attention to detail and most of all this is a FUN game to play. I have friends who have barely played any type of game who enjoy playing.

Some of the little things I love about the game are watching Chewbacca tearing limbs of Storm troopers and the smug grin that is on Han Solo’s face throughout the entire game. The fact that C3P0 hops at times due to damage he has taken is also quiet amusing.

One of the most annoying things about the game is that it is too easy to beat a member of your team up making them lose hearts. At least getting health back is not hard.

Some of the levels are so much fun you will love the fact that you can go back and free play with a selection of characters and get the other units you were unable to access the first time. Other levels (or maybe it is just me) were painful and I was just glad to get them over with. It wasn’t that the game was necessarily too hard it was just fidgety when you were flying to have to go back several times to get missiles to get past blocks. I suppose they have to give those levels substance and maybe I just need to learn how to control the different ships better.

Some advice:

Trying to pass the level of the Pod race on two player when the other person is not as experienced as you will make you want to pull your hair out and maybe even throw your controller at the TV. After failing several attempts at a cooperative pass, my friend dropped out and I passed it alone first attempt.

Another note for people who are playing with an less experienced gamer, try not to let them collect all of the studs because every time they die (which is bound to happen, whether it be jumping off a ledge to get something or from just getting shot) you loose them and lessen your chances of getting 100% Jedi.

All in all this is a game I enjoyed a lot both as a Star Wars fan and as a social gamer and something people of all ages will be able to enjoy.

Loooove the lego games in general. They always have a good sense of humor and require a decent amount of puzzle solving. To have all the star wars stuff rolled into one leggo game is just awesome. I spend hours playing this with the daughter. It’s good all around family fun.

Even my girlfriend loves this game!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Well done! For the next 2 nights after I play this game, I dream of collecting the coins throughout the game. It’s very addictive, playable for any age and gender (I’m 25 and my 11 year old cousin loves it too). Even my girlfriend who plays zero video games is addicted to it. I need to find more 2 player games like this one!

This is the best Lego X game for me because I love star wars and they make tons of hilarious references to star wars stuff. Bravo!

Newbie review: Great Game!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I was a little worried because I’ve never played XBox 360 before and I’m not very good at these kind of games.

Last night, my 4 year old grandson, Bubba, showed me the ropes. He taught me to follow behind him, to jump, to shoot, and to use the light saber. He also tried to show me how to build things out of legos.

Then, and only then, did he let me have batteries for my controller.

Fun little game
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I liked the game overall. It’s cute and makes for a nice family/non gamer friendly game. Sometimes during two player co-op slit screen, the game would become very frustrating. It would be nice to be able to rotate the camera also. Overall, it’s worth the “greatest hits” price.

the best lego game EVER
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
this is essentialy what the 2 first lego star wars games for the old x box should have been.this one looks better and has worked out a lot of obnoxious glitches from the 2 older ones.there are a few different boards you can go to.there are a number of extra bounty hunter missions.and its all in one place.there are quite a number of new entries as far as characters go.a few dozen to be exact.i still count a few dozen more.some of the notoriously hard parts are made easier.this game is one i would consider one of the greatest games ever.the entire star wars story on one video game!………until they come out with something like lego clone wars or lego new jedi order or…………………

This game is so fun. I love to relax and play this. It is a fairly easy game but has enough of a challenge to keep your attention. If you are between the ages of 4 and 70+, love Star Wars and the Lego games, this game is for you. A great game to play with family members.

The game came quicker than I expected; what a great game! I bought this for my son, but I have found myself playing for hours with him in the two player mode. This game is worth the money.

Great game!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
My 6 year old has been addicted to this series for over a year now. Intuitive game play, puzzles aren’t overly complicated, co-op makes it simple to join in, the only thing I could complain about is buying the first edition separately before the release of “The Complete Saga”.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This was one of the first games I wanted to buy when I got my 360*,

Well it was and I must say This game is highly disappointing..

They redid a couple levels, added 1 New level to the actual Story line..

This game could have been Soooo much better!!!! Someone really missed to Boat..

The Challenge levels are okay, They usually take a couple of times to do..

But overall this game is far below par.. 3 1/2 stars is almost generous..

My advice is Don’t buy, Rent or borrow.. It’s not worth even the $20 buck platinum hits price..

GREAT CLEAN FUN
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I originally bought this game for my psp which was just the original trilogy (episodes IV, V, VI) and just loved the game to death, so when I got my X-Box 360 I had to get the complete Saga which would allow you to play all 6 movies. For one to start with this is not one of those bloody gory games that you don’t want your kids playing it is very clean and innocent or as my wife puts it “cute”. In the game you are playing your way through all 6 movies as Lego characters from the movie unlocking more characters and buying more characters, vehicles, and extras which can make the game lots of fun. This is not a game that you can play each level just once and be done. You’ll find out you’ll have to play each level several times as there are certain characters you have to have in order to beat the game in its entirety, so plan on playing the levels quite a few times. This is a game that the whole family can enjoy (2 at a time). So grab yourself a copy and May the force be with you….

Great game, great price!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a massive game. It’s practically two games in one, including both the original trilogy and the new trilogy of star wars movies. My wife and I have played through Lego Indiana Jones, and this is a much larger game. It’s fun and addictive, and includes many fun levels and features. Great for playing with the family!

The game is easy enough not to be frustrated and even so if you die, you start again right on the same place! I am a big Star Wars fan and playing this fun game is a great way of getting all the day’s stress off. Graphics are good, sound effects and music too.
