Brilliant!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It’s nice to see the adults purchased the Hardened Edition (Bad reviews on the Standard Edition for frivilous things). The adults did their homework, saw the badass blue steel case, the free COD One PSN code to DL the full game in HD and multiplayer which is considered one of the best PC games of all time, and the artbook. Also that they won’t destroy the game reviews because their sister spilled a coke on the disk, or that they recieved it a day later and took it out on the review.

This game is brilliant! Graphics are improved, more maps, more mutiplayer game options, avatar options up the wazoo, constant bonuses for playing almost a distraction, but it’s not. The only downside I can see so far is a few drops in online gameplay, some maps aren’t available for different games not sure if that’s just because I haven’t played the game long enough, or that’s how it’s gonna be. E.g. in free for all like 5 maps available when there are 15 maps or so in this game.

Perfect score from me. Thanks Infinity Ward & Activision.

It REALLY is worth it.

Man this game is absolutely awesome, I truly see what all the big fuss is about. I have never played Call of Duty before but if those games in the past is 1/4 as good as this then they’re great too. I’m not really into 1st person shooters but this is the best there is. The graphics are so realistic, it looks like you’re playing a movie instead of a video game the weapons, voice-overs and missions are immaculate. And the multi-player is absolutely perfect I can’t find anything negative about this game. I was always taught if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it at all. But I have nothing but nice things to say. I will definitely recommend this to anybody who’s looking for a 1st person shooter. I can clearly see why this is the most anticipated game of the year. GRAPHICS 5stars, GAMEPLAY 5stars, REALISM 5stars, WEAPONS 5stars, MULTI-PLAYER 5stars EVERYTHING 5stars. CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 5STARS…

A definite front runner for Game of the Year. Again.

What can I possibly say that the previous reviews have not already covered? The first COD4: Modern Warfare raised the bar for total immersive first person game play, and the on-line multiplayer mode most certainly contributed to the overall success and popularity of this now classic game. Like many, I wondered how in world could Infinity Ward improve on an already near perfect game? Modern Warfare 2 is the answer to that question. I’m sure I could sit here and write a lengthy review about every cool new aspect of the game, but you really just have to experience it for yourself. Newcomers to this franchise will be blown away, and will no doubt be exhilarated by this gaming experience. Original Modern Warfare vets will appreciate the continuing story line in campaign mode, and the vastly improved additions to the on-line multiplayer mode. I can already see that the devastating new killstreaks will be the bane of those who consistently fall victim to more skilled players in Team Deathmatch. God help us all. If you can’t pick up this game just yet, you had better at least hone your skills on the original MW before entering the multiplayer arena in MW2, less you get your feelings hurt. The hardened edition is definitely worth the extra cheese if you like the extra bling. Nice steelbook hardcase with very nice cover art, plus a mini concept art book and the original COD game to boot. But in essence it’s really all about the game after all isn’t it? So if the extra special goodies aren’t your cup of tea and you just want to get right down to it and start racking up as many kills as possible, then save your money and go for the standard edition. I’m sure the special editions may be tough to come by when Christmas shopping season hits, so get it while you can. I will not be surprised if this follows in it’s predecessors footsteps and wins Game of the Year. Again.

Legendary!

The greatest first person shooter ever created is Modern Warfare 2. It is simply amazing. There so much stuff packed in this disc. This game will keep you busy for a REALLY long time. The Hardened Edition is excellent. For a bit more you get a cool looking game box and an extra game, that’s really awesome. For those of you that think this is just COD4 all over again, your wrong. Better story and better online multiplayer than any other FPS out there. So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and buy and I’ll see you online. Peace………….

Full review of a pontentially legendary game.

Hardened Edition Description and Contents

For diehard Modern Warfare fans, the Hardened Edition is worth owning. The steel case is very nice. It has a very nice finish. Owners can download the full version of Call of Duty Classic. In addition, the art book is cool, too. It has a total of 33 pages. The art book describes stages actually in the game and some, which never materialized in the game. The book also has character descriptions, and new weapon and vehicle descriptions.

Gameplay

It is virtually the same as the other COD games. The controls are the same. If a player has played the other version, there is no need learn new controls. The graphics are better than ever. The colors are so vivid and the animation is a little more refined than the other version.

Campaign

The campaign is not that long, but who cares?! The story of the game is like no other. I know this may sound cliché’, but MW2 is a lot like playing in a movie. Players are able to do a few new things, such as be a gunner on a humvee, ride snow mobiles and boats.

Some missions offer something new. The experience on the level “No Russian” is like no other COD or gaming experience. Anyhow, I must warn buyers, the stage may not be suitable for all viewers. I am not going to spoil it, though.

Other missions allow the player to do new tactics, such as breaching and clearing rooms. In addition, once the breaching takes place, the game goes into slo-mo. While shooting, everything is slowing flying through the air. Sometimes, it is hard to pinpoint exactly where the enemy is. Still, this new option is cool because you have time to just shoot each enemy before they try to kill a hostage. Still, a player must hurry. The slo-mo doesn’t last long. Just breach and clear as fast as you can!!!! That new installment is cool.

Some levels can be extremely hard, especially “Favela”. No matter how skilled a player may think he is, he is going to get his share of deaths. I consider that good. I mean, who wants to play a game, which they can just play, without being killed? Some other surprises happen in the story, which I will not spoil.

I must mention, the story is a little confusing. Still, the experience is so good, it doesn’t matter. In fact, for those who have beaten it, playing it again may put the puzzle pieces together.

Enemy AI

The enemies are a little more intelligent than the previous versions. They waste not time flanking and running for cover, so they can get a better shot. Not to mention, they have a ton of customizable weaponry. Once a weapon is picked up off an enemy, the player would swear he is playing online because of the customizable parts on the weapons.

Online

This version has more upgrades than COD4MW and CODWAW combined. Aside from weapon upgrades, the upgrades, which involve Kill Streaks is like no other. Players can do new things, such as jam UAVs, send stealth bombers, C-130s, harriers and fire guided missiles from above. If a player is skilled enough to get 25 straight kills, he can order a nuclear attack. The player now has the ability to even change Kill Streak attacks. A player is no longer stuck with just three kill streak attacks. Also, kills are worth more points, now. Players can upgrade a lot faster than the previous versions.

New attacks, such as the knife throw has been installed in this game. Once a player kills another with a knife, he has the option to pick it up. That is really cool. Don’t forget not to confuse it with the grenade. I have made the mistake of thinking I had a grenade, when I had a knife.

The stopping power of the weapons is more realistic than any other COD title. Now, if player gets a couple of shots on another, he is dead. It does not take a lot of shots, unlike the other CODs. Then, it seemed like a player may have to empty a clip, sometimes. Head shots are a little more easier to come by, as well.

Spec Ops

This new mode is made up of side missions, which take place in similar levels of the campaign mode. Some are new. The stages get additionally challenging; the further along a player goes. Many missions, such as races, breaching missions, sniping missions, and bombing missions are a part of Spec Ops.

Despite what some critics (not many) say, overall, this game is truly worth owning. Every experience of this game makes it a definite buy. Not to mention, the new mode (Spec Ops) and the extremely deep online play will make this game a constant play for at least a couple of years.

Awsome game
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This game is very great. It is a continence of call of duty 4 modern warfare. The game is a great game, but I find some things not so great. One of the levels on the game is kind of disturbing, you play as a CIA agent in disguise as a bad guy. The other bad guys and you go and kill a whole bunch of civilians. Also the game is to short, but as the multiplayer part and spec ops is good. It has a lot of action in it just like the first modern warfare. I would give the game 5 stars. It’s just the disturbing level and a short game. I would recommend you should buy it.

This is the best multi/single/co-op player game I have ever played! The graphics have gone over the edge in insaneness, also the amount of new weapons/perks/killstreeks are insane! I highly recommend this game to any one out there who is a beginner or a hardened veteran! This beats halo 3 and MW by a long shot! the only thing is that the .2 points I subtracted is because there is a sence of halo 3 when your doing a 1v1v1v1 or a 2v2. but other than that GREAT GAME!!

amazing game
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The game follows the story of new recruits, and some of the old characters from Call of Duty modern warfare.

The storyline is solid with amazing plot twists. New features such as dual wielding are always a good welcome to the series.

Graphic wise, its amazing with solid scenery.

gameplay is hard though very entertaining and highly reccomended.

As for the call of duty classics, amazing game with stories based on world war 2 era with some characters from modern warfare 2.

The art booklet is very well detailed and nice to own for any fan of the series.

If you have an good taste in games you will drop whatever you are doing and by this game. GO NOW!

Okay I am going to be as clear as I can be, this is probably the greatest first person shooter I have ever played.

Unlike most people I am going to say the bad stuff first.

The campaign is a little short in comparison to other games. So if you are a gamer who only plays the single player campaign and will never touch the online, I would rent before you buy. But I can promise you that you will enjoy the single player game.

Now onto what will keep you busy for probably the rest of your life, the multiplayer, competitve and coop. This game takes everything good from the first game and pretty much doubles it in greatness. Everything is better. You can now have 3 perks on instead of one, my favorite is the bling, which allows you to have 2 attachments. The deathstreaks are a nice touch too because they help you if you are having a bad game. So you will enjoy this mode.

Now onto the coop. This is not the full story coop, instead it is just a bunch of missions that you must complete. And they are fun none the less. They vary from killing a number of enemies, snowmobile racing, or covering your friend with a gunship.

Okay this part will be about the extras for buying the hardened edition. This is worth it because not only do you get the game but also the original call of duty.

So go out there and buy this game, unless you like missing out on a very good game.
