The goggles are crazy…

First off i’m writing mostly about the goggles. I have to say I was very skeptical about them and didnt expect much, I do this so I won’t get let down but when I turned them on. It was amazing, totally worth the money at 150, I don’t know about now since their being sold for 100 dollars more but they are really cool. You can see in abosolute darkness, I was amazed. The game itself is, well come on, COD 4 the II. I like games that deliver what the hype is promising. And yes I even stayed up till midnight to get the game for my kid brother on his x-box. Happy Birthday Adrian. P.s. The goggles need 5 double A batteries to work, but it works like no other.
Night Vision Goggles
!! but keep in mind that the game alone costs about $50 so you’re basically paying $100 for the goggles so don’t set your standards too high and then complain about it later, because well you get what you pay for and $100 for night vision goggles that’s pretty cheap and these are designed to be a collector’s item more than anything(I don’t think you’ll see any navy seals taking these on a mission anytime soon). I’m personally giving this game 5 stars right now because I think it’s going to be one of the best games of the year but who knows that might change once i actually play it but as of now I’m sticking with it.

First of all night vision is supposed to be in green that’s the way it’s designed to work, I haven’t had the pleasure of trying these out yet because mine comes TOMORROW

I picked my PRESTIGE EDITION up from gamestop at 5pm today!!!! I have played the game and used the night vision goggles and let me be the first to say. THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t care what anyone has said up until now because they have not used them. The goggles look very authentic and they TOTALLY WORK. If you get the chance, pick up the Prestige edition from Ebay if you have to.

This is one of the best online shooting game i have ever played in my life!!! The graphic and sound it just top of the line. However i rate this 4/5 because the single player was short and there is not enough variety of weapons, other wise it would be 5/5!

I’m not knocking the game at all. Just looking at the price for the Prestige Editions though…that makes no sense.
The GameStops and other locations that are selling it for it’s retail of $149. Anything over that, isn’t worth it in my opinion. Amazon might not have them, but other locations do. We are in a recession. Even if we weren’t, that’s gas, groceries and other.
I’ll just add that the single player is a little short, but great overall experience. The special ops with a friend and multiplayer online is what makes this the best FPS to date.

That night vision goggles are bad becuase you see in green it the funnest thing I have heard in along time. Duh thats the whole idea (infrared-the conversion of ambient light photons into electrons which are then amplified by a chemical and electrical process and then converted back into visible light therefore giving it the green). Mondern warfare was the best selling FPS ever, how could the newest one be bad. It can only really get better. get you facts right man. Mondern warfare 2 is going to be a bad a## game

Also as for all this confusion about nvg and how the technology works I believe that infrared nvg technology produces a black and white image and the green is just a tint added in for that nvg look. Also, who ever said “infrared-the conversion of ambient light photons into electrons which are then amplified by a chemical and electrical process and then converted back into visible light therefore giving it the green” I do not believe this is correct. The whole thing about collecting photons and converting into electrons, this is how present day NV works, and it is very expensive technology. Infrared NV technology is old school, as in, soviet era, cold war era old. Infrared just produces an infrared light source (the LEDs on the front of the unit) which project infrared light spectrum in front of you then the camera/lense picks up on this, thus you can see in the dark. Keep in mind anyone with a camera can see you when you wear these MW2 NVG. I may be wrong but to my understanding that is the difference between Gen 0 (infrared) and Gen’s 1-? (photon collecting/utilizing special photo cells)
Speechless!
. After having played only about 15 minutes I am utterly speechless. For those of us die-hard COD fans that have been waiting for this game for months…our wait is over! My friends, believe me when I tell you, that it was worth the wait. This game is visually stunning, and sounds amazing. The concept art book that came with the hardened edition is pretty cool too! Can’t wait to dig in a little further and provide a more detailed review….back to the game…see y’all online!

So let’s get into my biggest gripe. The so-called night googles you get with the prestige package are horrible. I think they are broken because I can only see in green. What’s up with that! Not worth the extra bones if you ask me.
The game itself is laughable at best. the best FPS on the market. Sounds like some BS to me. Collison detection is pathetic, level designs were created by a 3 year old, and the frame rate would be better in 720. MAN, I hate those goggles.

ummm…the game is not out yet how would you know if it sucks?? Also how would you know if the goggles suck when you dont have them because,again, the game is not out yet..?? Your review is bogus, you are just trying to be different by saying a game that 90% of gamers are going to enjoy sucks. Its not cute, its not cool, and it doesnt make you different okay.

Gameplay is more exciting than COD4MW. Weapon list is much more expansive and allows the player to be creative in how they attack the enemy. The plot is much deeper and thought provoking. An absolute blast to play. NVGs are fun. Obviously they are not military grade, but they are about as cheap as you can get for actual night vision.

Probably one of the best special editions to come out in a long time! Both the game and the goggles are great! Unlike the Batman special edition, where only the game was amazing.

Wow, i wuz so excited about these game but i was sore dissapointed. Triple D is aboslutely corect!!!! What a peace of crap!! he make some valid points. the googles are not worth the moneys spent. beside that the game itself is severdly falwed! I was also looking forward to playin multiplayer but i wasn[‘t able too(i mean seriously, multiplayer is much better than online playing)right?

wow as soon as i heard that this game was gona be released i started looking into the whole call of duty series, so i know own call of duty on the mac, call of duty 4 modern warfare ps3 and mac, call of duty world at war, and call of duty modern warfare 2. the game itself is simply badass. though the campaign was a little to short for my taste. the multiplayer is as cheap ever but still oh so much fun. and the night vision goggles are freaken awesome
