overpriced controller

the PlayStation three controller is a quite good controller, the dual shock works but not near as good as a wired PS2 controller, I have only used it with a couple of games one is resistance the other is MLB 07 the show and the six axis does not seem to work very well, I would have rated it a four star but the price is way too much for this controller it is basically twice as much as a PS2 controller therefore I think it is really a big rip, but what can you do the aftermarket controllers are not as good, the Logitech wireless is a very good controller but not quite as good as the PS3 but it can be bought for much less.

Everything you would expect in a controller by Sony. It's the exact controller that is shipped with the PS3 units.

Although a bit expensive, I would always buy this controller over one made by a different company. Great quality controller, and built for the PS3, the system created by Sony. If you buy a controller by MadCatz or others, you don't see the same quality that this controller has.

Forgiving on the hands

I play a lot of FPS games for hours on end. I own the PS3, Xbox 360 & the Wii. Out of all of these systems’ controllers I like the PS3′s Dualshock 3 wireless controller the best. It’s smaller and smoother to the touch which is a lot more forgiving on my hands. My hands tend to hurt after playing FPS games with the Xbox controller because of its larger size and because of the rough texture on the outside of the controller although this is less of an issue if I’m playing games other than shooters because I tend to not grasp the controller so tightly. A great feature of the wireless PS3 controller is that the batteries last a long time in between charges and there’s no need to switch out batteries as they are built into the controller. Also, I tend to beat the hell out of controllers and this controller can take a beating. I have went through several Xbox controllers over the last 2 years because my thumb sits awkwardly on the left analog stick which eventually wears a hole through it after just a few months. Lastly, I own Katamari Forever and having the left and right analogue sticks symmetrical, side-by-side makes the Katamari experience more enjoyable. Playing Katamari on the Xbox isn’t as easy.

Solid Controller, My Personal Favorite Controller of All Time

When Sony came into the video game scene many years ago with the PSX aka PSOne, they created one of the best controllers ever made. The shoulder buttons are very comfortable and easy to press within a split second, great for games that require fast reaction time. The four face buttons are spaced perfectly, and the overall design of the controller fits the hand perfectly. Sony hit the bulls-eye with the PSOne dualshock controller, and they transferred this design over to the PS2. The design was still so popular that Sony could not resist transferring it over again. The added benefit of the dualshock controller on the PS3 is no more wires! The controller easily syncs with the console and has a great battery life as well. The controller also comes packaged with a USB cable that you can use to charge the controller with in case of long gaming sessions where the battery may begin to run low. The major reason that I prefer this controller overall the other controllers that have been released is because of the directional pad. The d-pad is perfect on the Sony controllers. It allows for precision and accuracy in every genre of gaming. I was disappointed when Sony launched the PS3 and its controller lacked rumble capability, however, with this new release the dualshock design is back and better than ever.

I was hesitant to purchase from an unknown company, especially using my credit card. Then I worried about shipping time, as my son wanted this controller quickly. However, I was billed appropriately with no issues and I received the product very quickly. And the price was much cheaper than other major electronics companies! I am very happy with this purchase!

PS3 slim and Controller w/ MW2

It is ok, but not great for me.

1. experienced wireless connection got jammed all of sudden (blue tooth or WIFI?)
2. simple power off process without looking a TV. Drain battery power easily if not pay attention
3. experienced lower control buttons did not work properly all of surdden
4. PS3 slim was not good (basic functions)as I expected. HDMI connection is unstable.

*the controller and SP3 slim are good, but still need to focus on basic functions. I tried to keep the controller and SP2 slim, but I returned all. Hoping Xbox360 elite system has solid basic functions.

Excellant except No USB 2.0 Included

Only thing its missing is usb cable 2.0 for re-charging that you have to buy,if you lost original that came with PS3 system ,or can use any other usb 2.0 you saved somewhere. if you have played PS1 ,PS2 and now PS3 .Shape of PS3 controller isn`t changed and sony kept its originality but made a lot of tech. advancement within it to make it perfect for wireless connection with long battery life.Still Retail stores are selling it arround 60 bucks so amazon is way to go to save money.
